Cracking day and had the pleasure of being a passenger for a few sessions.
Thanks again mark. You've given me the bug now. Very impressed with the performance of the 200.
Tbh I've taken my decat off for now. Since I want to get on track, I thought I'd take it off because I'm not confident it would pass the noise test. And even if it passed the static, it wouldn't pass the drive by.
Thanks for the advice I think I'll upgrade to the ds2500 before I go on track just to be on the Safe side!
Did you worry that something was gonna break after thrashing it all day? Haha I think I would!
I'm hoping to do some track days next year, just unsure weather to upgrade the brakes. I've used them hard on the road and haven't had any issues but track might be a different story?
My problem turned out to be water pump. Sounded terrible but didn't leak.
Seems the PAS pumps on all 1*2's whine on startup for a few seconds.
When my alternator went the battery light came on :)
I'm probably going to do the gearbox one as it's cheap but my suspicion lies with the drivers side one. There's a few mm of gap either side of the rubber which doesn't seem to be there on pics of new mounts and I was able to push it back and forth easily with a little 10mm spanner as a lever
Mark drives like a granny :butt:, people are getting to technical here. He's not getting 4 pots for weight or braking power its for looks lol. His cars never seen a track :P
I did have to adjust the drivers side mount as my exhaust was vibrating on the over run. It didn't make any difference to this thud though. Maybe that ones had it. Ill probably have a mess around tomorrow see how slack they are with a bar or somethin.
