Need to replace my rear bump stops. Can anyone tell me the size of them?
Have seen the following items, so considering them as an upgraded item over oem - http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/bushes-bump-stops/spax-bump-stops
Thanks
When I was supplied a courtesy car, they called me the day the cheque was processed to arrange collection. As far as they were concerned the day payment is issued is the end date of the hire agreement. I was reasonable with them and they agreed to collect on a Monday from my work, giving me the...
Good work on the pedals, really like what you've done. My car is due to be garaged from Feb next year, pretty much planning to be doing the same thing with mine.
You should be able to get the bearings from other places, after all KTec must buy them from someone. Might be worth having a search on the internet for a local bearing specialist/supplier
Replaced my leaky passenger rear calliper with a nonleaky one from a breakers. Bled the callipers, new rear pads (both sides).
Looked at the car yesterday and noticed the outside face of the disc (pass side) was orange/rusty as they are after washing/standing in the rain - drivers side is...
There are plugs on the rear seatbelts, you will have unplugged them when you removed the reels (if you've removed all the rear belts). You need to put the resistor trick to good use - i had the same issue, so went to a local garage (one mechanic is ex Renault, the other is a rally driver), they...
Just for reference.
Got back under the car Sunday morning, looked at the metal sleeve on the handbrake cable/the hole in the calliper. Noticed that they weren't sitting quite parallel to each other. Tapped the metal sleeve at about 12 o'clock (used a flat ended punch and small lump hammer), and...
Came to change a rear calliper today, all going fine until it came to separating the calliper and the hand brake cable.
Could not get it to shift from the guide hole in the calliper, surely it should come out?!
Most fabrication companies should do it for you if you have all the sizes you want. Other than that you can try and place an order with a profilers, they will cut (using a cnc laser/plasma) the shapes for you, then get a welder to sort it. There are people that class themselves as 'mobile...
There's a small amount of fluid comes out when you undo the fitting from the calliper, but it doesn't dribble.
Brake line clamps won't really work with braided hoses will they
Need to change the passenger side rear calliper as its leaking.
What's the easiest way to get it off? Last time i changed a calliper i wedged the pedal down before undoing the brake line to stop fluid dribbling out.
Understand the handbrake cable may be a bit of a PITA!? Any info on getting that...
There are a few around. Some have been custom made though, or come as part of a kit.
I'm looking to get one as I am sure mine is warped slightly, and looking to fit a catch tank
The guy that jigged it up for me used to be a cliocup mechanic when the 1*2's were in action. Had a good check over and said the rollcage helped. As you say the bumper only hangs on most of the rear. The bracket on the lower part of my bumper snapped - nowt a drill and some good old cable ties...
Ha, I know. the latter accident was when my brother was using the car.
Still feel paranoid about being rear ended, that also happened when i was stationary at a crossing (as with the OP). Car isn't as mint as it once was, but its going down the 'track car' route anyway now
Offer seems fair imo. I got paid £1600 for my ph2 172 (100k on clocks) in 2013. Bought it back for £150, fixed for £300 (jigged the boot floor 'straight'). Got t'boned earlier this year, paid me another £1200, bought it back for £98, £135 to fix (new door, wing skirt).
The buy back prices are...
