I hope so too mate. I've as good as bought one off the forum without seeing it :o It's North of the boarder though and no date set at present for collection! Went into the bodyshop for a few stone chips to be touched up and it's coming out with a full respray as they advised it would never be an...
It needs cam, aux and dephaser so £750 basically. At £1500 it's a £2250 ph1 so I agree, overpriced a tad although you'd have a well sorted car afterwards. Certainly not a bad buy.
Nicely put together. As said, some stuff could do with being a bit steadier but a great effort!
From personal preference I'd say that some of the panning shots around the cars in the carpark should be a bit slower, maybe that's just me.
On the look out for a ph1 as she's just purchased a flat and needs to free up some funds that she's got tied up in her Cooper S. Refuses to have anything slower than her and has come round to the idea that the ph1 is the superior Clio lol!
Not at all mate. You're 35 miles away and I'm 300. Fair game if you can buy it in the week lol!
FYI - It's on eBay as well but I said I'd rather not bid blindly and prefer to come and see the car. Think the pictures are from Edd's sale thread in 2010. It's a good price but it needs tax and MOT...
If I was planning on spending this much money on a Clio (which tbf would be the bottom of my shopping list if you can afford a turbo kit from KTEC) I would be reading up and researching every single little detail of everything I could possibly need to know!! Start in the guides/mods/engine...
Good luck in your hunt. I'd recommend a search on here as a lot of what you have said is covered. However all of the mods listed above will depend on your budget.
I.E -£100 springs or £1200 coilovers. Track tyres or road tyres.... etc.
Other thing you can do is come along to local meets and...
Summed up nicely, entertaining and informative.
I'd quite like to go for a pint with him. Seems like a normal guy loving what he's doing (who wouldn't!) but very sincere and modest about it.
My last MOT, they had the cheek to fail it on a missing CV clip (which me and Rob fitted the night before), fair enough £2.30 clip, retest free, job done...
However I got home and there was CV grease everywhere and the clip he'd put on what lose and hadn't been crimped! Little things like that...
I'd throw a vote in for twotechs. Terry and Matt both really great guys, excellent customer service and great attitude to their work. Really know what they are talking about and very happy to talk you through everything in laymans terms (essential for me lol!).
Used them on 3 occasions now...
