I'm coming up with the Crawley group. Hopefully meeting everyone...
i was considering the pikey method of getting it off but i managed to do it with the chain in the end, trouble was the harder i pulled on it it was just crushing the filter but it budged in the end, still say its a retarded place to put it, all the oil in the filter runs down the block! I did...
RS192 without a decat is very very quiet. Only minimally louder than standard. I cant see it failing a 100db test with a decat. Especially if a Yozza is sub 98db with a decat!
Just noticed in the past couple of days when I start the car it doesnt come up with 'oil ok' anymore, it just goes straight to the mileage.
Anyone have any ideas why its not doing it?. Should it come up evertime you start it? even when hot?.
Get a genuine one. Their something like £30-£40 but worth it. I put a NWP kit on mine first and it was worse. Cant comment on the K-tec one but genuine is the way to go.
haha. That doesn't worry me. At the end of the day its your car, your the one who drives it and you can do what you like with it. f**k what anyone else thinks. Everyones entitled to their own opinion but it doesn't mean you shouldn't do what you want to do.
Where abouts in sussex you from matey?.
yeah it does, i upgraded my panel filter and disconnected the feed at the front of the air box which i believe is connected to the acoustic valve which restricts air flow (hence the reduction of noise)
Thanks for the replies. I know there is some good guides on detailing world so I'll have a browse. I thought there was two types of polisher? and one was harder to use than the other?
The northwest performance ones are cheaper and are supposed to be stronger.

So where do I start?.
What machine polisher? What type of polisher?
Any pointers?.
Any info will be of help. I'd like to get a cheap or second hand machine polisher and give it a go. I've got my old Punto sitting outside that will eventually go down the scrappy so I can practice on that...
It sounds louder in real life I gotta say. Videos dont seem to do it justice at all. When I picked mine up it sounded so much nicer than I expected. Gotta love blipping the throttle on the down shifts
How comes you sold yours buddy?.
have you slackened the bolts on the hangers and tried adjusting it like that? Once the bolts are loose you can slide the hangers for some adjustment.
Mine sits pretty central, it just needs raising up a bit with some bigger sockets in the mounts.
if you need to move it sideways, undo the hangers at the back a bit and they slide on the bolts so youcan adjust it like that. If you want it to sit higher i think you need sockets in the mounts? The other way to adjust it is to slacken off the cat clamp to the centre section and twist the whole...
I had this same thing happen a couple of times to me. I think its down to the brake pedal switch as mentioned above. Mine wont adjust I think its busted. But the dash lights havent come on in ages.
