Mafia 3 I'm really looking forward to. I'm not entirely sure why as I can't pinpoint what I enjoyed so much about Mafia 2 but it was one of my favourite games so hopefully this can live up to my expectations
Ive got a spring broken at the moment and you wouldn't know at all driving round. No weird noises or anything. I'm also going to replace with h and r springs so glad to hear you like them
Gutted to see, not what you want when you come home.
At least it's not done too much damage to the paintwork, everything else is hopefully just bolting new bits on although hopefully it's just the wheel. Fair old force gone into that though
I am going again this year yes! Not too sure if I am going on Friday evening or Saturday morning yet but if I go on the Saturday I'll be sure to trundle up in convoy.
It was good for Dan to show off the turning circle (or lack of) that a V6 has last year!
I have to say I thought I was having bad luck with my car, and having to shell out a fair amount of money, but you seem to be well ahead of me in those stakes.
At least there's light at the end of the tunnel now!
Bearing in mind I'm heavily biased towards MX5's...
An S2000 is very nearly 300kg heavier than an MX5 (going by a quick google). The engines are fantastic but putting it into a lighter car would make loads of sense to me. You still keep reasonable practicality as well which you don't with...
It's my inner MX5 fanboi coming out. Would much prefer it in one of those. It's becoming a more popular swap
Hondas don't particularly do anything for me. Plus RWD
Been spending my evenings watching these Vlogs thanks to this thread, and now for some reason I really want something with a K20 engine. (Not in a Honda though)
Surprised me how good to watch they are considering how boring you'd imagine them to be.
Not good, sorry to hear you having so much trouble.
It sounds quite different to what I've had but I just had my crank TDC sensor changed as my 200 was cutting out and not starting.
I didn't get any warnings or faults though so it doesn't seem the same, purely mentioning it based on the fact...
My uncle loves them and wants another but he's got young twins at the moment so a two seater isn't on the cards!
Hopefully at some point he'll get another so I can have a proper experience.
I'd like to get a proper impression of these, I've only been out in one once and it was absolutely pouring with rain so couldn't go for it really, but they do have a certain something about them.
I'm looking forward to brining the kitchen sink, last year in an MX5 I didn't even have room for a chair. Think yourself lucky with the size of a clio!
They've put me on a 'driver alertness' course so it might not be as speed obsessed as some.
It was a proper slow motion oh fcuk moment. Took me a few seconds to regroup and then I sprinted to car expecting something terrible so it was a relief it wasn't that bad.
I'm hoping for 3 courses at £170!
Think @Knuckles is right, morning in the classroom, no doubt telling me I was going too fast, and an afternoon driving.
Small update on this.
No repair to the lampost, no contact about having it repaired either so I'm still fingers crossed.
Had the dreaded letter from the police today, they've decided I am 'guilty' of driving without due care and attention but they have given me the option of the course...
Looks a great selection of metal, love the NSX. That car behind the mini is registered as an Opel Commodore
Not sure why you'd drop a mini shell on an mx5 running gear, seems like no benefit?
Buy a modern car they said, 'it'll be more reliable' !!
The car cut out whilst driving on Saturday and wouldn't restart, leaving it for a few minutes seems to work and it will run and drive fine for a few minutes when it will cut out again.
So it's looking electrical, the AA guy that towed...
I'm at 3:17:092 at the moment.
Might have taken me a 'few' goes
I think I need to get quicker to find more time though. That was a clean run so I just need to carry more speed.
That is good news! I know he's got that mini he's having to do a lot of welding on but I was unsure if he did any customer stuff.
He can sort my blowing exhaust out as well.
I think that's the way I'll go, having thought about it I think I'll go for springs and then try and get new flexis welded into the manifold, plus engine mounts to prevent it happening again
I'll give this a go and over the weekend but I'm not sure how close I'll get to your times!
It's unfair because the PC lot have had much more practice :tongueclosed:
So the bills are starting to roll in... Yay!
Headed ooop north for the belts to be done by Mick at diamond, fantastic service and I'm happy I've got peace of mind to give the car a thrashing now they've been done.
Mick was good enough to give the car a look over and picked up a few niggles...
