Yeah really like the Tunepoint im not a fan of aftermarket CD players in the clio dash, they just dont look right for some reason. The Tunepoint simply plugs in the back of the OEM unit where you would plug the CD multi changer in. Still allows you full control of the CD player from the steering...
Started off with a good clean -
Products used -

Megs Gold Class Wax

Tescos Polish applicator...
Ah I see.... i noticed it charges it's self when you switch on the ignition anyway so not end of the world even if it didnt switch off :)
its a Nice bit of kit though the Tunepoint even if i couldnt work out how to remove the glove box for ease of fitment LOL
Got exactly the same issue with mine, All works fine but does not switch off when the CD player is turned off. Not the end of the world but would be nice if it did (Mine is a 2003 172 - Maybe its a headunit issue not fully compatable or something)
I was just looking at that, i went on the tour when i worked for Renault, didnt realise people would pay that much... was interesting though.
infact im off to Maclarens F1 centre in Wokingham in a few weeks for the tour down there... the joys of having a brother who works on the F1 team LOL :rasp:
+1 just fitted my Tunepoint today that I got from Denty up at FCS.
Top bit of kit and dead easy to fit, Although i cant work out if the i-pod is ment to switch off when you turn the CD player off as mine does not.
Tyres are 195/45/16 Although some people run 205/45/16 for a bit of a bigger footprint.
Take a look here for peoples opinions -

This is the Gen 2 isnt it... We tested this in the Performance Tuner mag test which is out in next months issue, Results are interesting ;)
Its a very nicely designed bit of Kit actually and gives a good gain over standard.
I know on some forum's this is a touchy subject (So sorry if it is on here) But does anyone know where I can get hold of a Renault Parts CD and workshop manuals that cover the 172?
Dave Yes to both the above... You can have a drive of my cup to compare if you like...
Remember when I took you for a spin in mine before you got the Trophy the exhaust stank of burning CAT and made that noise.
Best place to buy a genuine one is probably to find a 2nd hand one as from renault they are over £100
Or another option is the K-Tec carbon one which is about £114 with Cliosport club discount (Join up to the forum mate and be come a member plenty of discounts to be had)
Fitting, Um, ill let...
They have been painted Silver... I only spotted this at FCS which is strange as I spent 2 hours following him back from Alex's house after collecting it.
Thats My Cup in a few of the photos
Exactly, you cant directly compare 1 set of rollers with another... The runs I did (19 in one day) were all done at Surrey Rolling road Service from Charlie down there was top Notch
The only reason Mine went on the rollers was for the Performance Tuner mag product test on induction kits which is out next month.
As above I think rollers are only any use for Mapping / before and after engine work to judge gains.
