Use Wifi more if available. Other than that, up your FB or Twitter sync time if thats possible. Mine only refreshes news feeds once an hr now instead of every 15 minutes. This does not effect notifications either.

In fairness, I personally don't know what a game like this takes to create. We don't know much space they had to play with on a disk so crash physics may have been less important than scenery details. FM4 had 2 disks full of content, this only has 1 I think so its going to be less packed...
