Depends how you drive it.
In gear has a lot of pull.
Pin in it and use all the rev range and it doesn't actually feel quick, but it is. With the new ZF auto it just feels like it's one long gear.
They've not updated that engine for ages really. Could have given it the 135i headline figure of 315bhp though. The 330d and the 335d and the 550d engines have all had the new style turbos fitted though.
It is an odd one. I bet this isn't too far off an E90 M3 on the road. I can only assume the new M3 will be a fair bit quicker.
Its also the first time that the range topping power output of an none ///M has come from a Diesel. 335i = 306bhp. 335d = 313bhp.
I did a test last night and drove my mates car while he drive mine.
It is weird, you aren't getting dazzled but you think you should be. I can see why people flash tbh. Esp when coming from a distance as they never seem to dip!
