S'going well :P
Still love that colour - are you doing the top and bottom RS grills? I know BioHazd did just the top one (well, two really...) - but I reckon it'd look awesome with both :) Unless you're feeling flush how about the metal one on here...
Looks nice dude :) Are you going for the lower RS grill to match it? Are the wheels the same as 197 fitment - as some of the larger 197 17s or maybe some Megane 17s would really set it off lovely.
If you're not ragging the Lupo, and getting 30mpg ok. But be aware that if you drive the 172 normally, you won't get much over 30 average out of a whole tank. To see 40 you'd have to drive like a nun, with no town work. It's all well and good people quoting numbers off their trip computer...
Voted yes, as long as they're the original ones in the right places, and of course only on an RB.
People that take them off are the kind people that have a party and pass everyone their coats at 11pm - after spending all night putting people glasses on coasters and saying things like "Could we...
An that's more than fair enough! £4k a year for insurance is laughable. Personally I don't think I'd ever be able to pay over a grand for insurance again heh. The 197 was a £200 cheaper than the Vee, and that was for 2 months more insurance (Vee was a 10 month bonus accelerator) and protected...
Erm, wasn't this a pro-detail? I.e. the guy doing the work was getting paid...? The owner was Mark, who dropped the car off and supplied his own wax. The guy doing the work was Matt, notice how he says things like:
It's easy to have too much time on your hands when you're getting paid for...
They're hardly worth any less than a Ph1 172, and if you drive it hard it won't be any more economical heh. Of course if you're not gonna drive it hard, and you don't drive the 172 hard - then it might be very marginally more economical, but really, you should be lookin at a nice little derv...
Aye I'd have thought so. It was just an idle curiosity is all, if I was doing a big commute each day or something I don't know if I'd have a 197 either... Actually yea I would, I love it that much hehehe! And 30mpg isn't crap anyway. All these people that say they get over 40mpg and things...
I like it - it's a really nice colour as well.
Seen as though you're modding it, just wondering (please don't take this as a piss take or anything) why you didn't get a 197? As I know the 138 isn't that much less ££, it's easy nearly new 197 money? Just curious that's all :) The 138 is...
Can you post the link to that dude? Wouldn't mind a wee read, my brother is lookin at getting a new Cupra, as they're available from Motorpoint for £16k.
And 5 miles? Hmm, I've never picked up a new car with that few miles on heh, I suspect he was being a bit flip with the truth there hehe...
Is it totally standard...? I know it's light but that seems a bit too quick hehe! Would be interesting to see it done against GPS speed measuring though. Was that on the flat...?

Some little kids near my mates house were right little t***s for throwing stones, luckily my mates little brother was 2 years above them at school. Once he and his mates had corner'd them out of sight and 'highlighted our concerns' they were strangely polite after that. They didn't beat them...
Looks better than a DC5 would :)
Might not be as quick, or as well made, or as rare... But who cares, it's not exactly slow, it doesn't keep breaking down, and yours has fairly unique mods! Keep it keep it keep it - hang onto the cash, or buy all those gadgets you've always wanted. Big TV...
It is there, it's just hidden heh. Move your mouse around to the right of 'Cayman' and there is a hidden link - not sure why it's like this, i found it by chance when I didn't beleive you and went to look, just noticed my arrow turning into a little hand for the link :)
Ah dude I just bought a normal iPod last week or I'd have had this :(
My 80gb classic was the same price, but if I'd have seen this I'd have had it instead - as I don't need a huge capacity :(
Aye a lot of the reviews at the time said it was pretty much the best set up FWD chassis they'd ever tried in a road car. I'm sure someone on here linked to one not long ago.
Unfortunatly to most people they're still gayer than Graham Norton smearing Appletini's into Dale Wintons ass cheek...
Heh, take another 2 grand off an we'll talk :p
I hope they have it up so high because someone got one over on one of the salemen, convincing them it was rare and worth an £8k trade in value. I know this would never happen, but it'd be good if it did :)
