I'm sorry, if you purchased a car to chase type R's in 5th then you have the wrong car... A good few hundred quid for an extra few mph top end, no thanks, can think of much better ways to spend it!
The only reason I can physically see feasible to change it would be MPG, but you'd have to be...
I'd swap my ph2 for a ph1 if I hadn't piled so much £ into it but it's like gambling when you are chasing a loss!
Don't be fooled by the ph2 being "newer" it will still rattle like a b*tch as well!
Ph1 probably looks better (although dated, it's got a classic shape) and has genuinely better...
Re: Kieran's Iceberg 172 Project
I read reviews that the red can sometimes looks pink mate, so I'd only advise if your downgrading to a trophy :P
I just got a set of 4 anodised black lockers, but to be fair, paint looks like it will chip fairly easily... Polarised ones are the danglies...
Just dropped a mate at the station so he can get the train into London. He has now joined the Regent street queue of approximately 30 people to wait overnight for 8am tomorrow morning.
Absobloodylutely mental :clown: Sod that for a laugh...
Hope not. Mine was missing a bolt anyway... Cable tie, job done lol! Heard bending them like I have can make seating the bumper a pain when you take it off and put it back on. Don't know if trimming it is a better option.
Pics now on 15's and scrubbing has stopped. OEM silver diamond to go back...
Re: Kieran's Iceberg 172 Project
My lockers arrived today mate in black, just wondering weather to wire wool them like yourself... I only wanted them for the locking nuts in all honesty as they looked better quality than most of the tosh on ebay....
Looks like I'll be chucking the 17mm socket...

1st/2nd/3rd crunch at high revs is a common trait. Also I don't think your rev limiter light should be kicking in that early, unless it's not fully up to temp (not the dash gauge), a good 15-20mins running time sometimes, mine doesn't show til it's north of 7k rpm once up to temp.
Hope that...
Will do buddy! ^
Scrubbing now sorted on everything bar tight very tight roundabouts. Bent the bumper brackets up and tucked the arch liner away behind another part of the arch rather than chopping it out (if that makes any sense). 15's going on tomorrow so hoping that will cure the last of it...
How it takes a whole day to do even a half decent job.
How it has now moved on to include when I'm outside tinkering as well as cleaning... "Will you fix my (insert anything remotely car related here) when your done"...
