Aye, I got offered a brand new UK cup from one of the guys on the RS forum for £12.3k with Nimbus and air...
Thing is with Trophys, you have to know what you're looking at to want to pay the premium over a 182 - to most people it's just a red 182 with stickers. And if you do know, you'll be a...
47k isn't a lot, the only thing I'd check extra carefully over any other car would be the fancy Sachs. I'm sure they're fine at that mileage, but I'd have a good look. Mind you, I'd have no idea what I was looking at heh.
I don't know if any of mine count as 'arty' but feel free to poke through http://www.danbayes.com - loads and loads of pictures of my Vee and some other motors there. I'm not a pro, it's just a personal gallery so don't expect SLR NinjaQuality :)
As annoying as it'll be - I'd give up on the warranty company. CV joint and exhaust bits aren't hugely pricey parts IIRC - but the people on the end of the phone won't care and won't budge because it does say wear and tear is excluded in the small print - although it may be worth having a shot...
Looking at Pistonheads, it's just about doable, if you can stretch likely I beleive this belongs to someone on here -

Yea the logbook says it was indeed owned by a young lady before hand :) Well, a person called Heather anyway heh!
As for better than the Vee, well driving it isn't the same 'occasion' but it inspires WORLDS more confidence in the bends. Doesn't feel as quick either with the less torque and...
I think we all know which is the better of the two yellows ;)
Feirny - no it came from a place in Scunny! Honda dealer, do they have one in at GT?
Thanks all :)
I'd have expected them to be pretty even to be fair, but personally I think I'd be quicker in a 197 than a Trophy. S'why I bought one :) That and push button starts are awesome :D
Thanks all :)
Ali - aye, but probably not as much as you'd think to be honest. Got a good price for the Vee, and did well on the replacement IMHO.
I'll be getting the G220, the Dodo and Poorboys onto it when it gets home for sure hehe!
Dan
Thanks everyone :D
Rob - no I won't have it by then :( But assuming I'm out of hospital I'll be at the next one hehe! One thing about the vee was because it was such a low miler I felt guilty driving it half the time hehe!
Dan
Cheers dude :) Aye yea, commuting to hospital, parking next to chapeltown, need some space, still wanted some fun :)
I have to admit, I used to dislike Liquid, but seeing it in the flesh made me wow :)
Well today was both sad, and happy, sad, because the Vee went to it's new home :( But I'm sure it's a good home. And then I went to view a replacement, and slapped down a deposit to collect it in a week. It's getting 2 new front tyres (I made sure they were to be OE spec) and a small scratch...
Looking at the pics, I can see no washer jets. So that's a semi result, and also I can say, it doesn't have the Xenons option, as some vague bargaining chip heh ;)
Dan
Right so, noted the indicator stalks and Xenons things. Ta :)
And as for the wear, yea getting them fixed all the time would be dead annoying - but if they are worn it might be a good way of getting money off, then getting them sorted under warranty, then getting them trimmed nice at a later...
