Heh, I'm not even gonna click the link, it's Corsa Sport FFS, nothing on there resembles the truth/normal people/non-c***s. But my mate used to own a 1.8 SRi, it wasn't fast by any vague stretch of the imagination.
Dan
I thought that too TBH Darren heh!
Took it to the dealer today, me and the mechanic went round the block, he agreed instantly it was a knackered shock. Got out, pushed down on each corner and it was very obvious. Getting done under warranty on Tuesday - offside shock absorber and some...
Nah it's no so much potholes as any bumps really - almost feels as if there is no damping on the drivers side. Rang the dealer and FWIW they're gonna take a look over it this afternoon - guy said someone would come out with me. I know a nice bumpy stretch just near there which should show it...
It's awesome :) Drove it reasonably gentle on the way home - just to get used to it, and have been out for a nice blast now to get really acquainted with it ;)
One question though to other R27/Cup suspension people - how does yours handle the bumps? I found a couple of times if I was booting...
Got some Bosch Aerotwins shoved on the Vee and they were LOADS better. Mind you, I suspect the shite I took off were the originals... 7 years old they were that twatted.
This has been done quite a bit - personally I prefer everything about the R27 - hence why I bought one :) (Collect it tmrw, in yellow, too excited hehe!). For me, the 1*2s offer nothing over the 197s - although I can appreciate some people prefer the rawness of things like the 172 Cup - but...
One of my mates has had hers for about 3 or 4 months now. 'Fast as f**k' is a SERIOUS overstatement. It has 100bhp, 25bhp more than the old 1.2 16v and it weighs a good load more, so it isn't much of a performance increase on her old 1.2 16v Extreme. Marginally better in gear, but again, the...
Yea it will've been me - I only live 2 miles from Filey heh :) I didn't wanna sell, but to be honest, I got a good price and really needed something a bit more 'normal'. Still, track day at Elvington next month in the R27 ;)
Bayliss has shown me some of your vids before mate :) Crackin drivin'. Just had to sell my vee for a host of annoying health/practicality reasons. Picking up an R27 on Thursday - will miss the in gear midrange of the Vee for sure though.
Name and shame! Also make sure you phone, and ask to speak to the dealer principle, and explain to him which member of staff just lost him several grand.
Alex I had a real good look round your car in the Travelodge carpark last year, I was the V6 you convoyed with to Rockingham :) Nice motor, hope it finds a good home!
