No genuine wheels them with OZ stamping etc, that's just from normal use too iirc :S.
I have heard it happened a few years back in time attack too with freshly powder coated wheels, not ideal.
We'll see, if the tyres hold out on my 'road car' with full interior and your 'track car' with stripped interior and road legal slicks then your ass is grass son hahaha.
Attention should be taken on what steps your chosen powder coater will use, cheap isn't always good. A little too long in the oven and the metal's composition can be changed and either deform or break...
Just noticed the last part of your post, I won't manage down to Anglesey as much as I would like to, thats a good 10 hour drive down for me, I would need my own tow car and some time booked off work to make that work out. Next year is going to be a good one and I'm sure I'll see you out on track...
Going alright there Phil, needs treated to some new shoes now.
What's all the gauges you have? You said your tail came out at the hair pin, is that a hairpin coming down the mountain? Seems like a right hander in the videos, I bet it's skippy with all the overhanging trees and dropped sap.
Forgot to say I had it on a brake tester today and everything is good in the hood. From a few people's comments of having too much rear braking effort when they seen the old pads condition I thought it would be work checking, still none the wiser how my car has no bias valve and how they were so...
Update.
With a track day on Sunday I set about getting the car ready today.
Fitted new Brembo rear pads again along with shim, springs and clips. I decided to fit my set of DS2500's to the 4 pots instead of swapping to standard callipers, PF97's and 15" wheels and tyres I have at my unit...
Yeah I would definitely buy more from them.
I wish mine was complete but between work and waiting for it to be painted I haven't had a chance to do anything to it the last 3 or so months, I have had all the parts pretty much since before that so not a case of faffing its just time...
If it was a race regulation tyre and that was the only thing to get one up on the next competitor then I would worry but for a track car as long as there good I'm happy. I fitted mine today so I will see how they fare on Sunday, I would say my set probably fall in that 'cheap' bracket too as...
Eeeek are they getting close to markers in the middle? I am due to get mine fitted tomorrow.
Nothing to worry about from all reports, can't help but think some testers would knock this line in some cases.
Im pretty sure it wasn't the Bilsteins considering you said they were spanking, they do get fairly good reviews and tbh the brand name says all you need to know when looking at suspension kits of any type or budget. Good your happy and ts fixed now, shows what £200 -£300 can do to these things...
I thought you just replaced ball joints etc a month or so back and then the parts in this thread? Your car has been off the road hasn't it so it would be hard to knacker all them parts in what was a couple of 1000 miles no?
You also had it apart various times so any setup that was there had...
BTW Phil I wasn't trying to have a go, I'm in no doubt the EPAS is great but it was the least of your problems and not solely the fix your car needed. I have followed your car since I seen a video of it early last year iirc at Angelsey and it was pretty poor but also a bit annoying as I thought...
