It is Fife after all. My stereo is permanent live you see.
Did you man up and get that ARB back on?
That was a provoked spin believe it or not, I just wanted away from that golf that ended up out on the track.
You don't have to preach to me mate, my race car is 15". I need 16's for the brakes in my road car. £300 is a very good price anyway for a 16" r-series tyre especially in a wider width like 205 so doesn't bother me paying that for a good aground tyre compared to £600 for a048r's or 888's etc...
So had another track day at Knockhill yesterday. The weather was shocking again in the morning with fog/mist and track dying late afternoon. It was good day except the avoidance spin I had into KH's water feature. I was over driving a fair bit but needs must with only springs fitted.
Tyre...
RS-R's get a lot of wheel spin in standing water but are better than T1-R's and Spec 2's do are for the road and are brilliant on track. They are very sensitive to pressure on track like I found out yesterday.
Hankook Evo s1's are good maybe even great road tyre for their price, very average on track IMO but they are loads of fun. I ran them my last trackday after Marks recomendation and they were great in monsoon conditions, you could get them to break away when wanted but was never uncontrollable...
You must be a very steady driver.
We used to do it for some fun back in the day, lift off oversteer is tripled on most cars, especially on budget tyres.
Re: SUPER 1600 REPLICA based on 172, CLIO WILLIAMS Tribute, CLIO WILLIAMS IV (Austra
Just needs, 17" turinis or compomotive wheels and a drop to finish it off. Hasn't taken you long to finish it.
You would need a V2 rocket strapped to your car at Knockhill to get a noise board mate, from speaking to him he was well chuffed. Makes sense for a road car with the decat design and MOT's. They turn a goldy colour after a few heat cycles.
lol indeed, ARB full stiff and a spinner in front of me = OFF
^^^^ at Duffus, came over the brow of the hill to a pirouetting golf in the road.
Broken, quick blast to Cowdenbeath with a horrendous wheel imbalance and back in time for the next session haha.
Away to start uploading them...
Had another good day except the fog and rain all morning, I got bored of the tarmac at one point so took to the 'grass' (if you can call it that)
Quick drive to a car wash and I was back on track for the next session :p
Really neat work Moo, fancy some holidays to sunny Scotland? I bet your itching to get the car back now Rhys, I love the engine bay, well worth spending the time to trim the bulkhead, looks quality and gives loads of room.
Top work as usual James. The dash you are looking for is from any lower model mk1 Clio or if you want the arch for the binnacle bigger then you want the mk1 16v dash top as it had extra guages in the centre.
Valver...
Yeah that's where I mean , it just looks like a right hander where the bails are and then another right after. Just shows how deceptive videos are sometimes. It's firmly on the to do list in the next few years.
