Fitting is easy as pie, can be attempted yourself.
Not sure how far you are away but if it aint too far I'd do them for you.
Setting them up you need a pro place really. They can be guessed by eye but in order for the benefits you need the works, tracking, camber, caster, toe in, and corner...
Without doubt one of the most interesting threads on here.
Wondering if someone could answer a few simple questions for me since theres a lot of knowledge looking in!
Got H&R's on my car and I'm wanting to set it up for fast road/occasional track use. However I don't know what a happy medium...
The ultrasport one?
I've found some milltek vids on youtube, but cant find much on the ktec's....
chrispy, got any pics of yours?
Our cars will be near identical if I buy one of those!!
Not sure which to choose from.....
What would people choose, price difference is not worth mentioning, which would be better quality?
Car is on a ktec decat at the minute too, I don't want a stupidly loud car, but need to run the decat as it is too low for the standard cat and it hits...
Mint, anyone got a link to the website?
I really want one of these over a Milltek now, if it is £500 then I'll just wack it on the credit card, don;t wanna extend my limit though!
Group buy Curley?!
Not sure yet mate, got literally thousands to spend on it in the next few months so not sure if i can justify more at the minute.
I want it doing but won't be in the foreseeable future I dont think, sorry.
What springs you going for?
I've got T1R's on my turinis, and spec 2's on my 15's.
Toyos are awesome for the money, not as good in the wet as the PE2's that come standard, but miles better in the dry.
On a dry day I would pick the Paradas all the time, but all round the T1R is a better tyre for daily use.
Only joking mate, done plenty of them, did a clio this afternoon infact!
Lowered all of my cars etc, easy job.
Just drop me a pm :)
I wish I bought a blue one.......or orange, or black, or yellow.....
Russ, I've got Spec 2's on the Enkeis, in the wet if you turn fast you will loose grip, but if you take it smooth they are fine.
Although coming up to summer in the next few months I would 100% get them. In the dry they are amazing.
And if you drive properly (;)) then they will be done by...
the fronts may look different, but you do the same thing, assemble with original bearings and put them in, exactly the same principle.
rears only differe from how the rear adjutment platforms fit, but they are super simple to work out anyways as they will only go on one way.
Re: FAO Derbyshire Lot - Renault Sutton Park, Burton on Trent
Derby Renault suck bigtime, countless times they have tried to rip me off and fook up my cars, to the point i had to go in 5/6 times a week to get it sorted myself.
Got to the point where i could see several salesman/women hiding...
^ Well you wont need them, unless they are identical to what you take off and they are in better condition?
Do you know how to fit them, I can email you a quick guide i wrote for another member if you want?
You'll need to use everything on the front, top mounts and bearings. (basically everything that comes off thew top of the original shock above the spring plate).
The rear you need to use the priginal bearings/rubbers that should stay in place when you remove the shocks anyways, then just use...
Awesome!
Chassis was sorted by Lotus too so no slouch in the corners. I'd like one, but don't want a more grown up car, so my Clio will stay for a bit longer!
Should do if you aren't driving hard everywhere mate!
If you get chance have a look at the springs, will be at the bottom coil, if it is still seated on the nipple but just shorter should be ok for a few days.
Worst case I can do the rears in the dark easy enough, could do the fronts too...
