To put matters clear. GDI were not at the Kimbolton show, this was an invite arranged by the v6clio.net area rep (Stevev6). Was a really good day and an excellent venue for the club, even WW2 plane displays especially for us oldies :)

Yes it's not cheap replacing many of these v6 items. Even some of the less obvious parts cost a small fortune.

The mk1 are a slightly different shape. I guess these ones are carbon fibre as there doesn't seem to be any mk2 cf ones made (yet).
The wire mesh to prevent large objects getting into the fans and chewing them up seem to be missing. The mk2 has a solid plastic grill.

I went for a long drive in mine at the weekend, and it put a big grin on my face. I'd gone right off it a while back, but a garage sorted all the nasty dangerous stuff out and now it's a dream to drive at last.
