After changing the brake fluid on Friday from the Rockingham trackday just over a week ago so it is ready for Donington at the weekend I decided to give the track car a machine polish today as there were some fine scratches from using the cover when it is in the garage.
I used Meguiars 205 and...
I have thought of that.
Using the silver reflective stuff with velcro so no wires need to be dismantled but it is not cheap, and I just looked at the manifold and wrapping it crossed my mind.
I am thinking of wrapping the manifold but don't want to remove it as it is a pain.
I only want to keep the radiant heat away from the coil wires as it is affecting my shift light.
Just having a little look I could probably do to the red lines fairly easy with in inlet removed and possible get...
It's amazing how fast they can go round a corner with the aero.
Looking forward to having a good look around your car at Oulton
Enjoy Anglesey looks like the weather is going to be good
Cars looking good.
Have a little look at my video from Donington last year with some Radicals and V6 cups, they are a nightmare if there are too many (like my day)
Aprilia shiver 750 had it 6 years now, had a couple of sv650s and a CBR600 over the years.
I borrowed a KTM RC8 a while ago for a few days and although it was a good bike it was just not useable at normal speeds.
Can't you keep the car and get a older 600?
Be a shame if you did get rid of it after all this work but the BMW is nice.
Which one would you get the most use out of, and when did you last ride a bike on the road?
I don't like riding on the road now as much as I did (I only done 16 miles from my last MOT to the latest one Saturday)
A would be the best as it is directly in front, don't worry about them being bright because when you are concentrating on the track they don't seem to bad, and you want to see them without looking down.
I have done a few more bits over the last few months (more practical things)
As I did not know what the oil was doing I thought it would be a good idea to get a gauge so got a SPA oil temp and oil pressure gauge.
While I was going to fit that I got a 13 row oil cooler, now me being me I did...
What is the rough cost for all the bits that need doing? I can't weld ally as we only have a DC TIG welder.
What's the differences between the AC and non AC Clio rads is it just the mounting bracket for the condenser?
