I'd just wait mate, definately not worth all that money for what is technically not useful as no claims. As soon as you go back to them for a requote they will rip your teeth out.
Seems pricey on a 106 though?
I've sent them an email, might try and give them a call if I get chance.
My rear plate has a border so if I can get a front one then it will match, saves me buying 2 new plates!
Don't do the bonus accelerators mate.
I did 2 and nearly shot myself in the foot big style. Luckily NU messed up on my proof of no claims form but not worth it, basically a wasted 10 months unless you stay with them for 4 years.
Can I get a 3/4 plate for the front that comes with a thin black border around the edge?
Looked on the usual websites but none have the option.
I've sent a few emails but just wondered if anyone knew?
Modified insurance is cheaper with Flux, fact.
Changing to a 182 soon, and for a standard one the extra I needed to pay on top of my current policy on the Lupo was just under £600.
After buying a car with different wheels, exhaust and suspension to declare then only want about £470 on top...
£1700 TPFT?
Thats silly money, I'll be paying about £1800 FC in total for a 182, but got transfer fees etc. Thats 19, 2NCB, 3 points. All in my own name.
I'd say I know a reasonable amount about them yes.
Munters in what way, surely ti would juyst be check the usual bits on a 182, then check the shocks are OK?
It does, but the car was pre-reg'd, and the current owner has only had it for a few months driving 700 miles so that makes it more...
It is more than I can technically afford as I will have to go into my overdraft a bit to 'afford it'. But only £1k into the overdraft, which will be paid off within 2 months of buying it.
What do people think?
I like it, it's local-ish, clearly been very well looked after.
What draws me to...
We have already struck up some kind of deal over the phone.
I also have a private plate to use on the car, so the T6PHY would be sold on for however much is reasonable to recoup some money on it.
What would you think to a 3.5 year old car that has had 5 owners?

Very well written advert, bloke seems very genuine.
It does need the 48k service but seems to have been looked after VERY well and in good condition.
What would it be worth?
Should...
I'm not going higher than £6k for that black one though, not with the amount of work that it needs on it.
A £500 banger will lose next to nothing if it comes Tax'd and MOT'd so would do me for a few months.
Insurance would be cheaper for a bit, plus gives me time to find a real perfect car...
The local-ish comment was only due to wanting it on sunday. can't get the cash for my car before then. plus i can't be left carless, so need to be 100% on a car before i can let mine go realistically.
^ Find me a decent local-ish one under £6.5k thats willing to give me the car on sunday and I will!
Although your old black one is kind of...inspiration!
I would like as new as possible, 05 preferably.
Warren, thanks for the link.
I'm not specifically after a black one, just this one seemed mint.
He just rejected my £6k offer, so thats that car out of the window, the search continues!!
I appreciate the honesty mate, easy to get a blinkered view when after a new car.
How much would you say it is worth?
I see what you mean, but it would be 100% mint once everything is done, £7k in total would be my aim.
Yeah, undestand exactly what you mean.
The buyer for my car wants it on Sunday though, so i'd like to get one sorted for then.
With it being local-ish too it makes things much more simple. I really want it, but need to keep my sensible head on.
Thats a good call.
But it is immaculate, and is a stunning looking car.
Plus there aren't many around at all with the criteria I have.
The brakes will last a month easy, the tyres will last 2 months at a guess so it isn't all straight away, but fairly soon after buying.
