Ive never heard this, only to always file down the surface layer of new pads, or old pads when changing the discs over. Unless the pads are worn unevenly, where they will need to be replaced, but as only a week old, doubt this is the case. Give us an avatar edde!

If you changed em only last week, just take the pads off, and file the surface layer off, and stick em back on!

Gap between bonnet and headlights looks too big, is bonnet closed properly. I know the panel gaps are quite big on renaults normally tho.
