You really don't want to connect the pipes - that pipes goes straight into the inlet
So when you run the car it will create a vacuum in the tank!!!
Trace the pipe backwards under the car and 3/4 of the way back you'll find a join - block it off there
The tank can still vent fuel vapours through...
Nope
ECU uses the first lambda sensor (pre-cat) for fuelling
The only use for the second lambda is to check the emissions are lower than the first - so it knows the cat is working
It's purely to put the light on the dash :)
Agree with this - it clearly should be 5-7bhp from those mods
I'm only expecting 12bhp increase from a full ITB setup that's cost me £2k lol
As for the figures though - he says it had 155ish bhp before and 160ish now - and everyones jumping onto the "timing is out" bandwagon
Anyone bothered to...
Hahah yeah Mel and Riley are both on here
Bought my ITB's from Riley last month
Love the brake ducts - shame you can't get them anymore as I wouldn't mind a set on mine
Ahhh bloody hell yeah YEARS ago
It was a 106 quicksilver - only a 1.4 lol
I'm still really good mates with Rick who ran CruiseLincs - and my cars being mapped by Phill - you might remember he had a 306 sprint car and his girlfriend Kat had a 106 rallye (still does actually) lol
Yeah I've had about 8 exhaust from those lads back in the day - I want something light and a bit more track orientated this time though
I had an exhaust made at HIB exhausts on the old GTi - they're in Anglesey which is a hell of a treck - but I might get one done there next year and do a track...
Also - they hold more fuel in the right hand size because that's where the fuel pump is lol
It's up to you mate - but it's a lot of money/work and if you're not really careful weaking of the chassis for very very very little gain
I'm just going to fit a swirl pot in the spare wheel well like...
Sounds dodgy
The cars put very very little braking force to the rear - mine passed but if I jack it up and put my foot on the brake you can still turn the rear wheels LOL
As said the bias valve could be blocked - the pistons could be seized, sliders could be seized - could be loads of things...
Stu is the f**king daddy!!
You should see his full build thread for his 106 - it makes me stiff
Max - step the feck away - even your drawing shows you'll end up with the exact same location for the tank - there's ZERO benefit
Just fit a decent swirl pot setup if you really want one
Bloody hell that is a lot of years. If forgotten you even had a clio lol
Hope your wel mate
Exhaust looks like just what I want. I'm starting to think I might just get one made
I have DS2500's and High Carbon discs on mine - the braking is "good" but after 4 hours on track it cooks the fluid
I had brembo's on the 106 and the braking was fantastic - and a whole day on track had no overheating issues at all
I'll be getting 4-pots next year for the clio :)
You are however ENTIRELY wrong
My 106 gti was only mildly modified and I was a very amateur driver - but fitting brembo's too it I noticed a huge difference.
The brakes didn't overheat after 20 laps like they did before, they were more progressive so I could apply more braking without locking...
I've got a K-Tec stealth exhaust at the moment with a 182 manifold and decat
I'd prefer to run something that cuts into the bumper and comes straight out for next year
Are there any off-the-shelf options? Ideally something around 2.5" outward rolled - or something subtle
Don't want twin exit or...
For the benefit of Nick and the people who don't seem to be able to read but then accuse me of not understanding the thread - here's the posts I was replying to..
"Waste of money" "race car with standard calipers" - not quite the same as someone asking if 4-pots are worth £600 on a daily...
Have either of YOU read the thread?
It started with a question about what 4 pots to fit - and I agree with it being his daily driver it isn't worth fitting any at all - but it's his money and his choice
It then got de-railed with a whole "4 pots are completely useless even on a full blown...
