they are the same accross the range. big market for the mk2ph2 lights as they fit the mk2 ph1

amp and speaker upgrade will make a good difference. Personally I would upgrade the speaker cable as this will also make a big difference, but its a pain in the arse to do.

comapred to your 1.2 you will think its a massive step up in performance. 0-60 is about 9 seconds which feels massively quick when getting out of the 1.2. They are great cars and brilliant stepping stone between 1.2 and hot hatches
