Got a new alternator (finally) for my 172 cup
Need to swap it this weekend
Any advice on how to do it? Where the bolts are etc... - not having a haynes manual bothers me slightly
Also where the main power lead connects to the alternator - I tried undoing that last weekend after soaking...
It cracks me up everytime Mark says he's sick of seeing blue cups
It's like saying your sick of seeing blue/white/red rallyes - why do people never buy the yellow ones? LMFAO
Yeah - I don't mind £460 when I'll get £150 ish back for the current setup - £300 for coilovers just to get it down a bit is worth it in my eyes
I don't even mind £600 if I need the damping adjustment
But I'm not throwing £1k at a car that's only worth £3-3.5 if I sell it tomorrow - massive...
I'm not buying V-maxx - they look cheap
For an extra £140 I could have the basic FK setup which is gonna be oodles better
But I think £600 for the konigsports is where my money is going this week :)
I don't want to get into £1000 suspension on a £2800 car lol - it only comes out the garage 1 weekend a month and does a few trackdays a year
I think the FK Konigsports are the way forward with the koni adjustable shocks
A few of my mates have given koni adjustables absolute raves - and for...
Well my worry is that I have eibach sportlines now which are supposed to be -20/30mm and it's way too heigh
I wanna drop the back another 20mm - so I guess -40mm will be fine
I ideally want to go low for summer pimping about at weekends and raise it up a bit for track use
I'm currently...
Oooh another question
If I go for FK's - is it worth spending the extra £140 on konigsports for the damping adjustment - or are highsports good enough for a weekend car and occasional track day?
After all the fiasco with Raceland/KTR - I've decided I'd rather just buy some coilovers from KAM Racing - as I've used them many times in the past and they've been brilliant
Looking through their website I'm wondering what people recommend between these :-
Weitec GT (£561) -...
I wish they did the RS ones
Oh and to those saying "order quickly" it wouldn't really help when the website says "in stock" and they actually haven't been for 2 months LOL
I'll just stick to Kam Racing in the future :)
It's less sour grapes and more me saying what everyone else is muttering, but out loud
The sudden dissapearance of the kits online then Ktecs announcement of the price jump and exclusivity was a bit cloak and daggers
Now you've announced they're discountinued but that was never mentioned...
It does nothing and doesn't affect the noise at all
Driven mine with it on and off - and it makes no difference
Just means the cold air feed rattles about with nowhere to bolt
Yes it's definatly the way it looks to me
Coilovers identical to Ktec ones appear on ebay far far cheaper, then *some stuff* happens from Ktec which has been described as "sole UK supplier" and other various ways using UK warranty as an excuse for a price hike. Now suddenly they are...
I asked if I could buy KTR coilovers - was told they were out of stock and raceland were all you had
So I left it a few weeks to read up on raceland ones (after emailing you asking if they were warrantied and got no reply)
After reading a few reviews and seeing the feedback from the group buy -...
At no point during the group buy was it stated that this was an end-of-line item that would never be back in stock..
It was advertised as a limited run at that price.
I'm sure its completely out of your hands - but you must see it from our point of view
The raceland kit seemed to be nearly...
Yeah this is really pissing me off recently
I've been waiting to buy some coilovers for 6+ weeks
Ktec secured the contract to supply 172/182 raceland kits but now magically they can't get hold of them anymore - they haven't got any KTR kits in stock even though their website says they do
It...
You can turn the button half down thing off
So if I'm taking a shot - I use the AF button to auto-focus - then I can rattle a few shots off without it keep re-focusing
It's the same as auto focusing then dropping the lens into MF to stop it doing it
I just find it kinda handy lol
Can I be cheeky and ask how you got the shots from the infield
I was gonna head down last weekend to do some photos but I know from past experience how bad it is trying to get shots at Rockingham through that high metal fence :(
Do you need a proper photographers pass to get down to where you...
You can set the 50D up so you can change the settings on the screen too mate ;)
Mines setup so if I press the button in the middle of the jog dial the settings come up on screen - then I can move around using the little joystick and change the settings using the jog dial
I like the dedicated...
The 60D has no appeal to me
It seems that Canon are just starting to compete against theirselves
The 60D will probably be knocking on the door of £1k and with video - but I don't use video and for that money I'd have a 7D
It used to be easy to pick a Canon dSLR that suits you - now...
