Cheers - I wanna take the nut completely off - stick a bit of locknut on and then do it back up. If its come loose through regular driving - its bound to with uprated engine mounts on
I get a knocking now in high revs in 1st and 2nd - so I assume that bolt has come loose LOL
I'd rather not take the airbox off as it took me ages to get it all in - do you think I can get to that bottom nut from the wheel arch - and then locnut it back on?
Cheers lads
The upper gearbox one has 2 bolts holding it in place with nyloc nuts on the bottom - what's the best way to get to these - is it best to take passenger wheel off?
Also I'd read something about a nut coming loose on the upper gearbox mount that's best to locnut on - which is that...
Anyone done a guide to fitting engine mounts or is it really straight forward
Just got my KTR mounts - and wanna get them fitted this weekend but i don't have a haynes manual (as they don't cover 172's) and I don't wanna get stuck doing it as I'm at donington on sunday LOL
Any guides would...
I'm fairly sure hot-tuning and raceland are the same company - or partnered
Hottuning used to be the people who sold raceland strut braces and seats on ebay from raceland
I have to say I can't understand that
Last year at French Car Show - I took my 106 Gti on track with all the 172's and 172 cups
I had brembo 4 pots and people were locking up and nearly hitting the back of me
It's not just about braking power with 4 pots - its about how they apply the...
I'd like blue 4 pots purely for show - loved the brembos on my 106
The recaros I've got in mine add weight, and I'm swapping the rear bench this weekend for a leather one. But as people have said - unless its going on track it doesn't really matter lol
Adrian Flux are utter b*stards for this
I fell out with them a few years back for the same reason
They offer good prices for first year - then massive renewals hoping people wont notice and just auto renew.
EVERY year I had to sit and ring around getting quotes and then suddenly they would...
Thats the problem with them quoting over the phone
They will generally as default just flare both ends of the pipe and clamp it to bits of the standard system they cut off - saves making flanges and OEM joins etc..
So if you turn up and want it all doing as a proper job - the price usually...
Real men just put a mac mini in the front room ;)
All my media (music/films/tv shows) are on a 1TB usb drive hidden in my tv cabinet connected to a 1.83ghz mac mini
I download everything on that - have a wireless keyboard and mouse in the front room for it - and I watch all my media directly...
Good choice - I sold my 106 gti 2 months ago and bought a 172 cup - you won't look back mate :)
Basically the 172 non cups you can grab quite cheaply - but for a cup you're looking £3k upwards
and for £3k it'll be quite high mileage and not the best of the bunch
Try to budget £3500-£4k for a...
Unfortunatly that's the length of my knowledge mate as I've only had my clio a month and not taken the inlets off yet
If you get yourself a can of carb cleaner or WD40 - while the car is ticking over spray it at the joins
When it sucks the WD40 in the revs will go up
Right I'm one of the many people on here that is in the market for some coilovers for my car
The recent thread about the launch of racelands coilovers (http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=479216) got stupid with accusations all over the place, and rightly got closed
It's nearly...
That say's it all for me!
They all come from germany - I'm 99% sure after spending 2 days reading peoples reviews and pictures of them all - that they're by the same manufacturer
I'd rather it sat about 15mm lower all round really
It rolls way too much on bends
I know my last car was a 106gti on billies with a roll cage and 24mm rear ARB - but still it feels high and rolls too much :(
I've been looking at selling my sportlines and buying coilovers as I wanna drop my car another 10mm or so
But looking at other peoples cars with sportlines - i'm kinda confused why mine is so high
182 on sportlines...
My 172 cup on sportlines..
The back seems sort of the same -...
