    James' 182

Heading back to the Nurburgring next month, so time to get this thing out of hibernation. Hasn't moved from my parent's garage since January 2024. Looking a little sorry for itself at my mate's work, before it goes off for some servicing and track prep. I'm on the lookout for some track...

Yeah i've seen a purple one in Calgary, probably the same. I'm gonna stick my neck out and say the one I saw out skiing didn't look so bad with the offroad tyres & spacers. Definitely more purposeful rather than a stupid gimmick.

    Ns2r vs ar1

Okay thanks. My used PS3's were dead after a few laps on my last visit so want to avoid that happening again. Hence now looking for semi-slicks with a good lifespan. AR1s are about £100 more for a set, probably worth it if they won't degrade as quickly

    Ns2r vs ar1

Thread bump here, Those who have tried both.. do AR1s have better lifespan? Nurburgring trip in June and there for 3 days, so will aim for 10 to 12 laps in total maybe. Not chasing lap records, of course, but don't want the NS2s to overheat and then die after a few heat cycles where the AR1's...

Crazy how Aston's have just got worse and worse looking over the years. Guess they were just ahead of the time with the V12 Vantage and DB9/DBS.

    Das Auto (Mk8.5 GTI)

They are on the R still, I think? Read on the forums that you get very used to them very quickly anyway. It’s the awful Tesla Ali Express screen that I hate. I remember hearing why Bugatti doesn’t have any screens in their million pound hypercars, because technology ages. In a few years those...

    Das Auto (Mk8.5 GTI)

Nice write up and lovely car mate. The 8.5 looks awesome from the front, super aggressive. Also that interior looks like such a nice place to be. The lit up GTI logo from the door handles is a little Ali Express though!

    E92 M3 Silverstone Blue Comp

That's a beaut! Looks so good on those silver wheels. That's some tight parallel parking though. Is it always parked on the road? Brave!

Sell as is, or get paintwork done first?

I wouldn't. You'll never get your money back, especially with the costs of repainting in LY.

The "Ive taken a pic and I kinda like it" thread

That is so sick, where ? Edit: just scrolled up. The white cliffs almost looked like ice so I thought super far north like maybe iceland or Norway! Still great shots man.

Mk7 golf clunk at low speed.

I have no clutch related concerns so don’t think it could be thrust bearing related, if that’s what you mean? And I don’t have a bypass, didn't know they existed!

Mk7 golf clunk at low speed.

Yes I too considered engine mount, hard to diagnose though!

Mk7 golf clunk at low speed.

So it’s not a Clio, but hardly anyone on here owns Clio’s anymore and there’s some pretty clued up people so I thought I’d ask. I have this clunk/knock coming from my Golf which occurs when I let off the accelerator at low speeds. With or without engaging the clutch. I’ve read on the forums that...

That's some crazy depreciation. Did they depreciate that fast back in the day?

    Cheapest Cliosport You Have Bought

Crazy how cheap these things were. Paid £2350 for mine in 2017 which seemed a lot at the time. Sold the seats for £400 and then sold the car for £2200 8 months after. So didn't do too badly. Would easily be asking £5000 for it now. It was properly tidy!

They look superb mate. Not really a fan of silver on silver though, I say this as someone who has silver superleggeras on my silver 182 right this moment! Bronze would've been the one imo!!
