Don't know the chap but he hogged the fast lane of the on the way to goodwood a few years ago.
Congrats fella. I'll take a trip over the river soon. Been too long.
Ive had one off at graham hill at brands. Heavy rain , I got cocky and ran onto the inside painted curb. Ended up backwards down the grass.
Also had a v6 255 sideways at the same corner. I'd like to say I ment to do it but no. I was told it looked good tho.
My fabia tdi has worked out well then.
Paid 11.5k on it as a pre reg it's now on 65k and worth 6.5k ish. It works out at £4123.4 per year all in on 18k a year average. Inc all services 2 sets of tyres, insurance, tax and fuel.
Gave her a oil change and ran the da over the headlights. A bit better.
Then added brembo max discs to the front and fitted pms 5mm spacers all round.
Glad I didn't go bigger.
I didn't have any interest in clios until my work mate back in 2002 took me out in his tuned Williams 2. I nagged him to sell it for about a year but he wouldnt. Went and brought a 172 cup new in 2003 instead. He sold the williams a few months later for peanuts.
Depends on how much you want to spend. I'd imagine if it's missing you'll get some excess.
My 172 recently had a similar issue I'm fairly sure it was injectors.
I basicly changed everything cos it was all a old tho so can't be 100% sure
They where 11k new. What do you expect.
So you hate modern cars and now old cheap French cars.
I'd stick to some aging bmw if I was you. They are well made and won't fail at all. Ever... Fact
Belts arnt that expensive on a 172 cup. think mine was about 500 with dephaser and everything, pump both belts and an oil change. Thought that was good.
Looks like a nice car
