I can't remember exactly (I'm away at the moment) but IIRC the GPUs don't go over 40c maxed out, previous build would see a water temp of 50c doing the same thing.
All of the radiator fans are on the controllers (top controller for the CPU/MB/RAM rad, bottom controller for the GPUs rad, means if I'm playing games I can whack up the GPUs rad and play away without the temps increasing and works very well) all other fans are off the MB connections.
I've got the Game pre-order with FIFA 14 (don't want) and Forza Limited Edition, not heard anything from game, didn't even get an email confirmation of the order strangely (it is on my account though).
Very nice, very good spec. The steering wheel does look like it's from a bus though, a guy on the MB forum changed his to the e63 one which is much better (like mine but with paddles). You are also missing some of the trim covers under the bonnet (to the top left and right of the engine) which...
The rest of the car isn't the same (mirrors, wheels, boot lid) and it just spoils the original look of the E55, that's just my opinion. It seems like I'm coming across critical, but big respect for the purchase, if I was a bit more adventurous I'd have one myself.
E63 front end looks worse IMHO, especially on the older car. Rear diffuser and boot spoiler yes, but I'd just go with a front lip/spoiler personally. You can also do electronic mods to unlock extra features if you want to. (I had auto folding mirrors done on mine amongst a few other things as it...
SBC is far from rubbish, I've had to use it in anger once when someone pulled out infront of me and it stopped the car in a heartbeat. The only reason it was replaced was because it's expensive to fix / replace and cost Mercedes too much as a result in goodwill payments.
Good stuff always wanted one but the ones I've looked at to buy have all been dogs. As said you should have left the star on though IMHO, also whilst SBC is expensive it's not 2K, at least you don't have DPF to contend with as well. I'm not sure where you are in the country but I can't...
Just be wary of the length of your GPUs and any necessary power cables linking to them before finalising your reservoir position, likewise if you are permanently fixing your pump just bear in mind your tubing routes before finalising it.
Glad I'm not the only one that didn't gel with the 2nd one, I thought it was just me. I loved the first one, but quickly lost interest in the 2nd, I've been meaning to have another stab at it but haven't so far.
Pictures of mine for those that may have missed / not seen it.
Does the job, but will be upgraded CPU / MB / GPU wise next year hopefully. Although it did recently have two new 6GB/s 240GB Samsung Pro SSDs.
Word of warning, I'm sure I read that this was developed by someone else (not the same developer of the first two). Could mean nothing, but worth bearing in mind.
Mine is:
Res > Pump > MB > CPU > RAM > 480 > Res
&
Res > Pump > GPU > GPU > 480 > Res
As said, as long as you go Res > Pump and keep it as short as possible and the pump as low down in the loop as you can get you shouldn't have any issues.
