Internal loom all runs separate though doesn't it. Get a full ancillaries loom Including headlights etc if you don't have one, should be able to get one for £50 If you then want a switch panel you just find the wire and wire the panel up

Easy way would be to get the bit of loom as you will have a plug there ready to connect to and get a stalk from a model with fogs. You don't need front fogs though in all honesty just look nicer in but not working.

Insuring yours with an engine swap will be more than a normal 172.

Is the battery tray attached to the body? Should be on bolt inside the tray, one near fuse/relay box, one behind and one in front of the tray. That is from memory but they're all 13mm
