Ahh I see. You're right . For some reason the Sachs dampers does say 52mm on Autodoc and onlinecarparts. Maybe it's worth contacting them to see if there is an error in their advert.
Same question from me. Just had the alternator replaced so they've had the bumper off. Now the bonnet catch doesn't always work. It looks like the cable is hanging down under the bumper.
I can't remember off the top off my head but I always thought it ran just under the slam panel , not low...
I am the first owner of my 182 , had it since February 2006 with 8 miles on the clock and it definitely came with the same tyres on the front and rear.
No it wasn't. 182's originally came with Michelin PE2's and would have had the same load rating on front and rear.
I've been an advocate of Uniroyal Rainsports for the last few years. Good tyre in the dry, fantastic when its wet. Just the wear rate is pretty poor . I was only getting about 5k...
More alternator problems.
My 182 has been sorted and garages for the past 9 months.
First of all it wouldn't start , put an almost new battery on and it fired up straight away. The only problem was it wasn't charging. I could see the connection on the alternator had a fair bit of corrosion so...
I ran 32 on the fronts in very wet conditions for the first few days and was impressed. I dropped down to 30 yesterday and only done about 10 miles but in dry weather, feels like there is plenty of grip. I'm definitely happy I opted for the Avons after years of using the Rainsports.
It's for a hoist to lift the engine out of the car. Nothing missing , that's how they look.

I've never had a tyre ever do that sort of mileage lol . The steering feels more direct now with the Avons. They're on 32psi at the minute on the fronts , I'll drop it down later and try 30 . I wouldn't have bought them if I hadn't seen you and @imprezaworks sing their praises . Cheers for that ?
Just a little update for those who might be interested. I had 2 Avon ZV7's fitted yesterday . The Rainsports were loosing traction when setting off , 6000 miles in and down to about 2mm tread ?My very early impressions of the Avons after 110 miles in wet , rainy weather is they're very good . I...
Mine packed up a few weeks ago . Only the passenger side worked. The ball joint furthest right ( passenger side ) had worn out. Replaced it with a 2nd hand unit and it's been fine ever since .
If he'd only had the car a couple of days and it went titsup It's possible he might be able claim you sold him a faulty car and that you'd partially share the cost of the repair. As he's had it 5 weeks , obviously with no problems or he'd have contacted you sooner then he wouldn't have a leg to...
As others have said . I wouldn't worry about being taken to court . 5 weeks of him ragging it , it's his problem.

Those white clips are usually tight as f**k , maybe the're a bit knackered or broken? I don't know if you've taken windscreen wipers off before ? If you haven't give them a good soak in wd40 and get yourself on of these ball joint separators. If you haven't got one already...
There are 2 of those 8mm clips , one on each scuttle panel next to the wing. Also the passenger side scuttle panel has a clip that pushes into the wing just under the windscreen. I can't remember if it's part of the scuttle panel itself or not. Tbh , you don't really need that clip , it clips...
Maybe because he hit the tree head on . I know when I had a prang in my old 172 many moons ago , I had an argument with a motorway crash barrier going round a bend at 60mph . I hit it with the front offside corner , bounced me across the carriageway then ended up 180* the wrong way round on the...
Ahhhhhh ok. The way you sounded in your other post was that you'd be getting rid in months , rather than a year or 2 . Personally I wouldn't bother with the Sportex mild steel exhaust with the 30 month warranty . You're better off with a stainless one.
Well done in bagging yourself a bargain at...
You said in one of your previous posts you don't plan on keeping it for very long . I really don't see the point in spending money on something none essential . Let say for example you spent £450 on a stainless exhaust now , in 6 months you sell it . You won't get that £450 back in your sale ...
