I'm hopeful Dirt 3 will make it to PC, what I'm unsure about is whether it will come out with the console releases.
As for L.A. Noire not coming out on PC, definitely dissapointed.
I just hope PC gaming picks up again, because from what I'm seeing after a marked improvement things are starting to dip again.
L.A. Noire now not even sure if we are getting a PC version.
Dirt 3 is also looking a bit doubtful.
Best at surfing the web = 27" iMac
Best at playing games to the highest standard = PC
Best at being readily available and affordable to the masses = 360
Best at gathering dust and playing the odd film = PS3
Done.
I'm just running single GPU mode as well, it doesn't even break a sweat on a single 580.
I'm pretty sure I'm on the last level now, i'll have to find something else to keep me occupied between this and Dirt 3.
My 2 360s haven't been used for months . . .
Agreed, there was nothing like approaching the enemy and f**king them up the way you chose to in the first one. In this one they are just presented infront of you for you to kill.
The original was a lot more open, you could at times make your own way and navigate the environment by your own path, but in this one its a very narrow path which you follow.
I don't see how it's better on 360 than PC. The graphics ARE better on the PC and the controller arguement doesn't count as it can easily be used with PC (I have one but actually are prefering the mouse & keyboard for this)
I got quite far on it today, it's definitely a different game to Crysis, you do feel like your shoe-horned down a particular path, whereas in the original whilst you did have an objective the landscape was essentially open and explorable. I was thinking that once this came out I wouldn't touch...
Acutally, it's awesome. The dust is fantastic and forces you to use the Nano-vision, IF they ever sort out DX11 for it then it will be amazing. I like the addition of upgrades for the Nano-Suit and the modifications for the weapons seems to have more to it now.
Hmmm.
The graphics are good, but not Crysis 1 good. There is plenty going on, good lighting, smoke from explosions etc but it's not as sharp as the first and feels a bit fuzzy (this is on a PC that can do anything asked of it), that said I haven't looked into the tweaking yet (this is just...
Possibly a voltage indicator, but if it went red then off I would have thought that was ok (it's if they stay red it's an issue). If your getting no beeps I think it's new mobo time.
They do have 'advanced graphics settings' but they are more like presets and don't go into detail. I'm glad I didn't wait for this to come out before buying new hardware, put it that way. I'd of been more pissed now it seems to not matter.
lol, I must admit I find it funny sitting here playing games on my PC with a 360 controller.
Judging by the videos however it still seems the PC version will look better (even without DX11).
