They are a bit silly yeah, but the game has a nice balance of Gymkana/Drift events and Rally. Pure Rally games quickly lose my interest, Dirt seems to have a winning formula for me.

You've played Forza 3 right? Because I'm sure it does it, although it doesn't do it very well.

You should have had the assists off in the first place Darren, it's the only way to play. I use my PC with the 360 pad btw.

That's the nature of the game though, the races will get a bit longer as you progress.

The menu system I find annoying, would have preferred something more like Dirt 2, but apart from that its easily as good as or better than Dirt 2.

really enjoying Gymkhana, did all the Battersea missions last night as well as completing the first lot of challenges.

The voiceovers are even more annoying than Dirt 2 (i could just about stomach them in 2). PC loads nice and quick :)

I'm loving it now I've played it a bit more, it gets better and better, liking Gymkhana very much.

What about the Meguiars G220 V2? It will be used for my Mercedes and the GF's Renault Scenic mainly but will probably end up doing other cars.

I must admit, i'm not liking it as much as I was hoping to, definitely worth it though. I do like the drift races.

Well I'm on PC using a 360 pad. On Dirt 2 Handbrake was A, Gear Up B, Gear Down X Dirt 3 wasn't like that, it was a different config and I couldn't get used to it, so I've changed it to be like Dirt 2. I should probably get a G25 or G27 but funds are needed for other things atm.

Sorted the controls out and had a go at lunchtime, loving it. You've got to have it set on the hardest difficult for a challenge though, I've had a couple of 3rd place finishes but have come 1st everytime overall.

Cheers Gally, I'll take a look at those. I'll be using it a fair bit I imagine once I get used to it.

Zagato f**k everything up IMHO.

I tried the Dirt 2 demo on 360 and didn't warm to it tbh. I then played it on my new PC (ironicly with a 360 pad) and got a lot of enjoyment out of it, played it to completion and some more.
