I know its not that much hassle swapping them bits off, but jesus surely it would be easier to use spacers and camber shims etc to conform with MSA regs rather than saying only 10mm spacers/no geometry etc.
Easily the single best modification to the clio you can do.
For racing the better option is a Gripper diff but needs servicing, however the Quaife is a fit and forget option but doesn't offer the amount of tractive grip that the Gripper does.

Good little read, he makes some valid points in that also! Glad that I know most of that so it shouldn't be too much of a shock when I come to do my test.
Would definitely prefer to do my ards in one of my cars rather than the Peugeots I think they use as you're much familiar with something...
Ards booked for Friday 15th November now that my backs better enough to take the potential pressure of circuit driving, need to have a quick look over the 'Go Racing' pack to familiarise myself with everything again! Lol.
Really need to update what I've done so far to the car and also get on...

Looks a pretty sorted car to me, some mega money put into that! Shame it doesn't have a cage though.
Mine owes me less than £2.5k, so if you buy smart you can easily do it for cheaper. But of course buying a pre done racer in general will always be cheaper.
Also the Clios will be ample competitive enough for the production class in my opinion, granted there isn't the amount of modified parts...
Re: sonny172cup "track racer project"
I've been watching a few videos and them swifts have been cropping up a lot! Lunacy driving by them idiots. There wasn't many people they didn't hit, cut across and so on it seems.
Second hand Cit/Pug parts are so cheap, far cheaper than the Renault equivalents. You can definitely build a much more competitive Cit/Pug with the right second hand parts for cheaper than a Clio. If my race car didn't owe me under £2,000 including spare wheels, tyres, brakes etc I'd now always...
Ah got ya, that's fair enough mate. Sounds like a good weekend though, if the weather hadn't of been so shite, my back doing my head in and me being grumpy as I wasn't on the grid myself I'd have travelled up to watch.

Ah, so we've got a load of 'chequebookers' coming to race next year.
Glad I'm doing production class tbh. The only place where it might be a little competitive.
In all the years I've used second hand slicks Dave, I've never had that. There'll do for me for the time being, tbh with the setup for the Production Class I think cut slicks like you guys use will be too much. Them coupled with lowering springs we'll no doubt be knackering standard shocks every...
