the GTI mk V has red calipers (for example) and they're nothing special but look good though. so can't go so wrong in painting them like this. yeah it depends on the colour of the car a little - if you're yellow or green then probably red won't cut it- otherwise black suits every colour if you...
push really hard on the brake pedal, the plate on which the pedals are mounted will bend :D
talking serious you may have the pedals higher than normal. go and check an identical car and measure it's travel. IIRC the travel should be around 13-13,5 cm from clutch pedal to the floor, measured...
in the first pic you can see the part number written on the package ;)
take one of your jets off the bonnet and take a pic to the mounting hole then we'll see if it fits
I wish mine was high, as now it creaks all the time when givin it some. meanwhile I discovered that the whole pedal assembly is lower by some reason therefor I'm lacking travel. So I guess if yours is high it means it's normal ;)
no, the cable has rarely anything to do with the creak. I changed my clutch one year ago and used some copper grease here and there. the creak was gone for a few days. if the cable was one of the parts causing it I should've heard the creak right after the clutch was replaced
should we open another topic and leave this one to the gearbox issue?
scoff, maybe you could share some of your knowledge regarding the fitment of that VW box, would be much appreciated, thx!
I've seen someone here complaining about the camber had changed on a track day, he had coilovers with elongated holes. As I understand the top bolts have to be really tight in order to keep the camber. Even so, I think the camber bolts are better in keeping the camber. I'll report if anything...
in this thread I'm telling everything I know about camber bolts

do your coilovers have the top hole on the shock elongated?
video explaining how to fit them...
Bought a pair of these from kamracing (best price-15 quid) and wanted to set things clear with these bolts. I know I had some questions about these...
So here's what I know
They work on standard shocks, if you have coilovers with elongated holes they're useless
Don't be scared by the diameter...
I bought them as being c3 jets, had no idea back then the xara also has them. so they're the same on both c3/xara. any other models in the citroen range who share these jets?
I had my bolts fitted today (at last!) and not being careful on the gauge I accidentally went to 1,85 negative on one side and since I struggled to get the top std bolt off (not having quite the right tools-mainly adjustable spanners) I decided to let the camber at this value for now.
The...
