I wouldn't bother matey, it's a long and slippery slope that will always see you wanting more I reckon. Enjoy your car for what it is, is it worth messing about, throwing money at it? I think you using it on track as it is, is great TBH. Could you not just rent a car in with one or two TDs...
I'm just realistic, might be able to keep up with a few Class A at Mallory, if it's on next year. All being well, I won't be too far behind at Donington either. Don't forget I'm carrying more weight, less power and inferior suspension. But I'll be smiling when I see the chequered flag.
There's 1 or 2 parts missing:
Time spent rowing with wife about how much you've spent.
Time spent listening to wife moaning that you love that car more than her.
Not a Championship as they have specific rules but it is the Series (Tricolore Trophy nee French Trophy) that we are in yes. You would have to get your race licence etc. This is purely an opportunity of having a go without the outlay of prepping your own car.
As a form of motorsport where everybody is on a pretty even footing, then the series should do well. The cost is still pretty low as stated and I wish everybody good luck with it. I just posted the figures, because I thought that if anybody wanted to crack on with it, they may have a bit of a shock.
Without getting into any arguments, as I'm not posting this to start one. I just think that 5k is VERY optimistic. I think 6k is more realistic really, for the benefit of anyone considering this. It's cost me almost 2k to convert mine to just basic MSA regs. Cage, seat, seat mount, harness, fire...
