Thinking about going back to see Paul to get the power turned up a bit, going to see what he thinks about using a megane head gasket like Dan has said and try and run around 7-8 psi and get to around 280 bhp.
Re: dmallett's titanium ph1
Glad it passed ok, can't see how people use the power-flex exhaust mount bush's without them splitting, when I used them they split within a few miles.
Strip it out and put some pole positions in, but I would make a false floor for the back and get a ktec boot matt or use some nice carpet, I also use some sound proof foam under my boot matt.
Thanks Dan, I disagree on the buckets though, as long as you fit some comfy ones.
I think mine is as stripped as much as you can and still keep it reasonably quiet and comfy, pole positions would be awesome.
Yeah I don't think he was very impressed
Thanks Craig, probably won't sell it unless someone wanted to give me top money, still thinking about going the forged route so who knows. You still going to fit the ecu you have and didn't I read you were thinking about a diff.
Thanks Stu, did it take long to sell your kit in the end.
It was just on show mate, jm imports JUN-R1 was the quickest gtr at jap show finale, I think it got the uk 1/4 mile record for a gtr of 8.6 sec, also has the record for 60 ft at 1.3 secs or so
Had a new windscreen fitted on Friday, so much better, but I lost my front carbon diamond on the way there:(.
Went to Santa Pod on Sat, weather was crap and they didn't open the track until 2pm ish and then closed it due to the weather at 6 pm, got three runs in all were pretty rubbish, just...
Thanks mate
Fitted some new plane pressed plates(look much better than the gb ones) and some new Bosch aero wipers, going to Auto glass for a new windscreen this afternoon as mine is looking pretty worn and also has quite a big crack at the bottom on the passenger side, also gave the car a good...
Need some new front tyres really, going to try and get some this afternoon, want to minimise wheel spin as much as possible.
What sort of time are you boys going to be there.
Really hope the car does you proud once you get it back mate, you deserve it after all your problems. you must have the patience of a saint for how long you have waited to have this done.
Will interesting to see how you get on then Dan.
New steering wheel turned up yesterday (thanks Wolverhampton Renault top service), so fitted that and also fitted some new DS2500 front pads.
Just had another look at your thread, so you are just using the meg head gasket with a standard engine? What sort of power do think you will get running 10 psi, I know Paul had over 300 bhp out of his standard lump before it went bang in a big way.
Just ordered a Sabelt wheel from...
