Usually around 300 on my normal driving. I've had 44mpg regularly on motorway trips so that would give a range of 400 miles from full to red light. 440 if ran untill empty.
Looks clean. Just make sure its been serviced and all the usual problems needster mentioned.
Might be worth checking if its had the updated map put on it that sorts out the cold running problems.
Brilliant post that mate. Takes a lot of guts to admitt you've made big mistakes like that, espeically with money.
At least you've managed to sort out your debt now rather than letting it get worse.
PH2 172 wheels are such a fail. They ruin the look of the PH2 172 completely. Putting them on the cup instantly just makes it look crap.
I understand it from a financial point of view though.
Are you keeping the car or not Chris. I'd just get the cheapest one possible if your not.
I threw a good standard system away when I got my ktec. I had nowhere to put it because my dad wouldn't let me keep it in the shed lol I'd have given you that.
Its a hot hatch. its for thrashing. If it doesn't get thrashed theres no point in having it.
If you wern't in London i'd gladly meet up with you and see if yours is as quick as it should be or not. I'm sure somebody will help you out.
For a cheap start out towards further road training Alex i'd recommend the Insitute of Advanced Motorists. Its not expensive, teaches you a few things that certainly help, you then do a test and if you pass membership to the IAM.
I also got 25% off insurance for doing it. Which to me makes it...
It doesn't mean your going to be anything special no. However it will enable you to enjoy driving more and be safer.
I don't think we're going to agree on this.
It doesn't matter whether you drive a 1000bhp Skyline or a 1.1 Saxo. Everybody can benifit from training.
Your missing the point. The point is he is saying he isnt a very experienced driver at the minute and wants to learn. Whether your driving a 1.0 Corsa or a Veyron extra expereince and training will always be benificial.
4 pots will be a good upgrade I think. You only have to compare the 197's braking to a 1*2's to see the benifit.
Albeit the comparison i've made is with my standard brakes that will need changing soon, but still.
I did the IAM course and found it good. However they don't teach you to drive enthusiastically so to speak, that usually requires further private tuition.
A guy who took me in his car from the IAM had a list of driving qualifications as long as your arm. He was in his 60's drove a Seat...
If you've spent £14K i'd spend a bit more getting proper tuition. On or off track.
Other than that just practicing in safe loctions would help. At 19 you have little experience, coming from a 19 year old, the only way to get it is to practice.
Its down to attitude whether you crash in a quick car at a young age.
I can drive to a decent standard. I have a mountain to learn including track and more car control.
I just drive to my abilities, which atm isnt superb, when I learn more i'll drive quicker untill then I won't. Simple realy.
