Sounds like it's playing up to me. I have mine on "Auto" 24/7, and the a/c rarely comes on with the weather like it is at the moment. Dunno about Manual mode though - I never really use it!

Sounds like a fault with your airbag/seatbelt system to me. You'll have to find someone with the diagnostics equipment to wire your car up to a PC to fully diagnose the problem and clear the errors stored in your ECU, and the obvious choice would be a Renault dealer, but you could try other...

Can I get an aftermarket CD changer to work with my factory head unit? If so, can I get an MP3 playing one? Can I still skip discs and tracks with the remote too?
