I washed the car yesterday and thought I'd give the meths things a go. Couldn't find ant meths, so tried white spirit instead. It did absolutely nothing!
mmmm.............. methylated spirit eh? I might give that a try on little bit of cloth and see how that goes.
P.S. That's quite some effort to make the first letter of each word Caps!? :S
I have a similar problem with my stripes too. They get a bit dull and sometimes have the odd bit of staining on them too. I tried Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover and Super Resin Polish, but had no luck with either! :(
Crow: My foglight from eBay arrived the other day - it's not an official Renault part, but it is identical to the original item. Well worth the saving I think. If you don't want to buy from eBay and want a genuine OEM part, try GSF in Portsmouth - it's £40, but they'll give you 10% off for being...
We all make mistakes (especially in our early days of driving) - that's how you learn! It's suprisingly easy to roll a car, although easier to drive in a manner that won't! You're just lucky you lived to learn from this mistake.
^ Yeah you don't have to re-fit your seatbelts for an MOT if you have harnesses - think of all the Caterham/Westfield owners out there that would be stuffed if that was the case!
Yeah I made sure they clicked into place. I had to use them this morning and the drivers side one misses the screen where the arm connects to it. I might have to bend the wiper a little to rectify it.
I had an email from the supplier asking me to verify what car they were for. When I replied, he replied again and said that my order had been processed and they'd be going out today (Tuesday), so they should be here on Wednesday hopefully!
Other than that, it seems you don't get an official...
^Me too! All this rain recently has made me realise that my wipers have had it - they managed 16000 miles, so that's not too bad. I just hope they arrive before Friday, as I'll need them for my drive to Germany! :D
Yeah. I assumed it was for the brakes you see, as it had loads of thick cabling/piping coming from the box that the arm connects to, but I guess that must just be very well armoured cable! :o
I checked my little screw/washer arrangement this evening and it seems to be holding together.
Don't...
Ahhh. I thought it would be one or the other. So it's for the lights? Well I put a small screw and a washer in as a replacement fot the meantime and that seems to be working ok, but I'd like to get it replaced!
I had a front one on my old 306 and you could tell the difference straight away. Perhaps they're more effective on bigger cars, as there's more room for improvement in terms of body flex (bigger cars = more flex)?
Don't suppose anyone knows the Renault part number for this do they? I broke the plastic connection on the arm where it attaches to the rear cross member.:o See pic for the bit I mean. Also, a price would be super sweet too. ;)
Help! I had my cat replaced by Renault last week, and now the pipe between the cat and the spilt into the two backboxes is knocking into the mount, resulting in a nasty resonating sound at high revs, and when changing down. It's actually the steel hanger on the pipe hitting the bolt that holds...
