Yeah okay i'll look into getting a non cup wishbones, polybushing them and adding the caster that way. Indeed reliability is the key in out race build. Will speak to Chip tonight at the Shires meet, you coming also?
I cant give you a factual explanation tbh but given that Mike and Chip have...
Okay thats cool, cheers Chip. We're not doing anything too mad with our build but adding a bit of caster will help and like you said we'll be happy to cut the bumper tabs away, even part of the front bumper to allow for wheel clearance.
I cant remember how much the AST topmounts add casterwise...
So what were the differences in caster between the standard wishbone, the Cup one and your modifed one Mike/Chip please?
Got two sets of cup wishbones and looking to get quite a bit of caster for the racecar we're building, looking to incorportate some AST topmounts also for added caster.

Lol.
Indeed I have spent a lot on it matey, maybe i've been unlucky with it given the amount of history and receipts it came with when I purchased the car. Its a tough one, like I said I went with what I thought was good, someone could buy a £2,500 s**tter and it not break down for years. I...
25th August 2012
The car cleaned/RainX'd (just incase!) the night before, all prepped with everything you need for France these days and packed full of cases.
Headed off at 5:30am for an early morning Eurotunnel, me, the woman, Ollie off here and his prettier half. The car felt good and our...
13th July 2012.
Then for another 3 months like the first 3, the car again didnt get much use through working away, bearly even covering 800 miles this year so far! Dirty, looking sorry for itself I had nearly collected all the bits required to change other various things that I wasnt happy...
So, the big update...
3rd March 2012
This years been a pretty mad one so far with me working away quite a bit for the first 3 months of the year, so the M3 hasnt had much of a look in seeing as I had been working 12 out of 14 days solidly. Upon getting home of a weekend looking through the...
Lol, just about to write out a mammoth update for the car. No pictures though as not a lots changed looks wise, and I havent had a chance to take any either!
It's a long winded hassle selling parts now. Like Dan said you'll see anywhere between £1500-£2500 selling it in parts but could take you 6+ months to sell maybe just half the parts, even at cheap prices.
Reason for that is down to idiots who are selling things for absolute peanuts. £60 for a...
Before I leave the country for a bit of sunshine, wish you guys all the best this weekend and hope you get some dry weather!
Anything less than a podium and i'll be asking questions! ;)

Sorry to hear of the problems you've had.
If you have no luck with Renault, Budgie and I will drive out with an engine and fit it for you if you cover our expenses etc. Will be cheaper than buying a new engine from them!
Lol this convo tbh. Think people should leave it at what they've said.
Anyways, hopefully you should have no further problems James. And now you've got the 'Elite' race support to assist you! ;) I'll email you costings for me and mike and also the contracts. ;)
Ah right my bad, yeah as Phil said just cut the stuff out you dont need.
Also I wouldnt worry about an open circuit error with regards to the airbag system, as long as you have all the airbag etc removed then it'll only be the light on the dash that will be on.
Yes, simply unplug the whole loom that connects from the door to the shell itself.
Also regarding the airbag loom, turn it off, then remove the airbag from under the top part of the dash. Easy job.
No worries, they were the original ones from the Cup before I refreshed them as the bushes were tired. So hopefully they'll be the ones spaced for more caster.
The mad thing is even Renault say that there's only one type of lower arm, may be the case that they've just stopped all the variations of lower arm as they all fit anyways.
