So many people saying different things! Didn't have any plastic adhesion promoter so just used plastic primer! I left the primer an 1-2 hours to dry and then sprayed *light* coats of satin, leaving 15 minutes between coats! I did light dust coats so not sure it's too much product applied to...
Yeah definitely that's why I'm asking now, I don't want to fit sport wings without having spacers ready to go on too! It'll look silly 25mm hubcentric okay cheers, how much did they cost do you mind me asking? You probably don't remember
right i see, that makes good sense, thankyou! whats the cheapest way of doing this then? could you link me to something? i dont mind if its with new bolts and cheaper in that sense. cheers
yeah found the paint very runny even though i did light coats, how much would dipping cost me? i was thinking of sending it to sprayshack, but unaware of how much this would cost?
Ah really? I thought this only applied with lacquer. I see thanks mate! I'll probably just wack some nitromors on it and try again. Didn't know that though, we'll see! Thanks mate. Was thinking of doing it gloss black as they satin doesnt have any shine at all to it, or is that likely to be...
I don't have a clue, it's not as if I'm a newbie at spraying either but I'm so f*****g p****d off though! Plastic primer, then several coats of satin black. Come out awful! Soooooo annoyed
Right so last time when I was spraying my door sill for repair I had a problem with lacquer, it went all white without warning. It was normal temperature, not humid, not damp, and I did very light coat to start off with and it just went white straight away,
Now I've just had the same problem...
spraying my grill satin black, I've sprayed several coats of plastic primer, it is ready to sand 1200 grit and then spray satin black, how do I go about protecting the satin black?
Has anyone used satin lacquer from Halfords? Most people say just use several coats of wax! Several coats of wax...
Space out the width of a 172, yes that's what I'm after. Okay brilliant cheers.
Just after the cheapest way of doing it really.
Okay will drop you a PM now! Cheers
Thinking about getting some of these for my 1.2, do I need to get specific ones for Clio? I have no idea about things like this but heard very good things about these springs, nice subtle drop and massive improvement.
Need advice with spacers, it's obvious I need spacers, I'd like ones where I...
looking at getting the door sills fitted, most people have told me there's arrows underneath the seal that line up with the arrows that line up on the sills themselves! Anyone know any different? Didn't want to just put them on without knowing if there was a proper solution.
spraying my dash strips gloss black but I'm applying the airbag decal, how would I go about doing this? Apply the decal before lacquer? Or lacquer and flatten and rubbing compound to bring to shine, then another coat of lacquer over applied decal?
Same question for the head knob insert too...
I plan cutting the bumper yes, that's why I'm thinking actually I should just wait for when I get twin exhausts, that's if I ever decide to do it. I think it makes more sense just waiting. Thanks bud
The one day I have plenty planned to do on the car and it rains all day. Fantastic!
Anyone got £500 they can lend me or donate so I can get spacers, springs and new exhaust
Thinking about getting a new exhaust for the Clio, something that's got a little throaty roar too it but not really...
It's odd, some people say no not much difference at all and then you get others saying saying AG is best or MG Is best, it's quite confusing, best thing is to try it out for myself I think, can be an expensive route but oh well!
I was thinking of going for AG's rapid detailer and AG Aqua car...
I think things will be halted on this for a little while picked my car up from the garage this morning for the second time, fingers crossed it's fixed this time! It went In the garage twice this week for the same issue!
Faced quite a hefty bill mostly labour ouchhh.
But I'm doing a few things...
Thank you! Much appreciate it, I take pride in what I do, I try to make it of the best it can be!
Will do, just trying to neaten it up!
Thanks
Yeah totally agree! Don't think the normal sport spoiler that's colour coded makes much of a difference tbh, especially on a black car, hence why I...
Yeah that's the level I'm at, just looking to get started into looking after it properly, but going straight into the expensive products probably isn't the best idea at my level haha!
I've heard very good things about AG but I just suppose if you've used better products you've got the right to...
Autoglym stuff isn't that good? Really, well I thought it was one of the top quality products? That's a shock!
Yeah as in the spray! Quick detailer isn't a wax though is it? It just removes dirt and cleans up where as a quick wax boosts wax? Isn't correct? Correct me if I'm wrong!
Spray...
Update:
Received a very exciting parcel today, been waiting for a while for one of these!
Can anyone guess what it is?
Old spoiler off! Ew plastic
Had a bit of hassle with the light, after soldering the wires and everything together, I found that the brake light wasn't working! Took the...
