Thanks for reading mate, appreciate it! Fair enough bud, there isn't going to be as many updates now, but I will do little things as they come.
Thanks for looking
Hahaha that's alright mate. I've gone off the idea of upgrading to a different Clio now anyway. Waste of time really, my heart is...
Okay I've tested it and it doesn't get louder when turning. However I have noticed after listening with my window open. It's not a whining noise as such but it gets quicker with revs. I shall get the video on here soon
It completely stops, instantly when it's revved! Belts were done before I got it. At 70k I think. what are my options if it is the case, is it a DIY fix? Or something that needs specialist. The whining doesn't bother me but if it's one of those you should fix before it gets worse then I'll sort it.
Not sure about that, I know my steering squeaks when turning anyway. But I will test it tomorrow to see if it gets louder. If that is the case, simple fix? Or...
it's a constant whining noise at idle just after starting. I think it does all the time idling but don't usually notice when going because of music haha.
But at idle it will whine then touching the throttle slightly the whining goes away until letting go of the throttle and then it whines...
No worries bud.
I know mate, I think even £260 is high. Maybe he rates Landsail I'm struggling to find a better a set with good tyres. Most have illegal that need replacing. Doing my head in £30 ain't bad at all, I've never use a courier, don't know how it works. But ill definitely look at...
Yeah that's what I thought. Price varies so much on eBay. I was more inclined to be interested in them as he lives close to me, like 15 miles away, and that's close when you live in Norfolk next nearest 182 alloys on eBay are over 120 miles away but he wanted £350 but I knocked him down to £260...
I just need some good advice.
Is a set of good condition 182 alloys with 2 new Landsail tyres and 2 5mm Michelin tyres for £260 a good deal or would I be paying a bit too much. I think that's a bit much but someone told me that's the rate of them at the minute.
I can't really find any others...
No worries, I know mate. Was just being how most other people are on here;) I know me too, I had no interest in cars before I got my Clio. But I've learnt so so much now. I've heard installing skirts isn't as easy as you'd hope, but hope you get them on alright nice one, get a video uploaded...
Looks great mate! definitely added at least 5bhp;) I shall no longer look out for you! Steering wheel looks soooo nice, I really want it! What's next on your plans?
Found several 182 style exhausts for sale at the minute. How strange. There's one I'm Scotland the ktec one and he's refusing to post. Hence why I asked in the logistics if anyone was traveling that way
I think that's the only thing I want to do too the Clio now. A exhaust and change of wheels...
They just pop out with a bit of pursuasion! I did mine mate, have a look in my project thread <--- take the edge ones out first twist the plastic so it makes the clips easier to pop out and then the same with the Middle part just work your way through the clips. They shouldn't break if you do it...
Nice one! What figures would I be looking from that? I'm guessing dci 100, with a dci 80 inter cooler would be the best thing?
Would that require the uprated clutch? Or would that be on the next stage?
How does this affect mpg? Does it go up?
I've also seen things about I think it's called...
Nice one! uprated clutch from sachs to deal with the torque in higher gears? i wouldn't be able to do work myself, but if someone local knew what they were doing and wouldn't mind helping out for beers or something. unless costs of labour will have to be included:/ i know theres project threads...
boll***s, im really looking into dci's now. oh Christ what has been started *face to palm*! i never knew dci's had such potential. saw a post a few years ago, about 160bhp and over 280 torque or something similar. wow! So many things i want so little money, i didnt realise the torque these...
i thought the 1.6 had disks front and back as appose to the 1.2 having drums on the rear, maybe i was just reading one that had that converted.
Maybe you're right, but what kinda money do i need to spend to have one tuned properly? i dont have much of a clue about things so labour cost would...
I must say ive never liked the idea of a diesel engine in a small car like a clio, i love the petrol clios, i think 0-40 is very good in 1.2, but the best part for me is the handling! superb. just that little bit of power between the twisties in a 1.6 is why im tempted. Overtaken' dem tracorrrrs...
It's more like 12 seconds for the Clio 1.2! I'd love to actually test that figure, think it's 12.4 seconds, but feels less than that, I'll do a test soon an video it
Tax is what £50 different?
I don't think I'd want a diesel, I've heard they don't handle as well because of diesel engine being...
Mate, thats fantastic, cheers for the Advice, im looking at getting a golf 1.9 tdi gt. mainly because of the space factor, as much as think getting a 1.6 is because i would notice a difference im sure and i wouldn't lose out on much money at all, £100 if that, but at the end of the day it was...
Fair enough mate! Your choice at the end of the day:up: i think its comparable to an old lady's new hair do on Michelle Keegan's body personally but whatever floats
Exhaust looks spot on! That guy near you works wonders on exhausts:wink:
Totally agree on tints, big no no imo.
Cars...
Lost motivation for this at the minute. Mainly because working and trying to save money, no idea why
I need advice with something.
I've been looking into getting a 1.4 or 1.6 same colour as what I have and then just swap the bits over from car to car and then sell the 1.2. Mainly looking at the...
