Yes, I have seent that one but it is from the very last of the 172s that have cruise control. It is also the same as the 182 ecu. The ones we are after do not have the fins on them.
David.
Thanks guys, we have been paying upto £60 from some breakers but we cannot find any at the moment.
MATT BLACKK, I have sent you a PM but your inbox is full.
David.
We are trying to locate some Clio 172 Mk2 ecus but are not having much luck. Does anyone know of anywhere breaking a mk2 or where we might be able to get some ecus from?
David.
Andy, the sports cat comes outlets for the lambda sensors to be fitted into. It also states that yor engine light may come on if you fit a decat and not the sports cat.
I hope this helps.
David.
Fred, you are awfully paranoid. Who said it was against your car? I was referring to a car with more than 225bhp.
1.3 secs slower, not bad for the cars first proper track session in road trim and its OK you don't have to remind me of the excuses I still remember them ;)
How did it go...
go down the bodie route if you realy want to spend all that money, 5k would see 240bhp? which im sure would keep up with the turbo.
Its been tried and the throttle bodied car was left for dead on the track. You also seem to be fogetting the small matter of over 250lbs/ft of torque.
David.
If the conversion was crap we would not offer it in the first place, simple as that. We have also not stated that nothing will ever go wrong and the car will be as reliable as a standard car. What I have said (and read this a couple of times as you have missed the point so far) is that we have...
We put a customers car up against a Ferrari 355 and did some 60 - 120mph runs (on a private runway) and each time the Clio would slowly pull away from the Ferrari.
David.
One our customers was most satisfied when an Aston Martin DB9 driver praised him for his car after it pulled away from the DB9.
To date we have 9 cars running the conversion and no one has had a gearbox let go.
Our car will also be for sale in the next few weeks as it is now back in full...
OK, just compared weights as we have a Cup in having a stealth system fitted.
Standard, rotten system 13.6kg
KTR stealth exhaust system 13.5kg
Crusty, all our systems are covered by a lifetime guarantee so if there was a problem it would be covered.
No we do not make the Mk1 any more...
We hope to have some fun finding out the answer ;)
Our 172 turbo is fantastic in the dry, the diff has helped but it was still good before the diff was installed.
David.
Yes, we are going to look at installing a turbo onto the 197 engine in the hope of gaining 80-100bhp. Part of this is to show what we are able to do and what can be done to the car. As with any type of conversion like this, it will take a fair bit of time to get right and we hope that our...
They must have had straight through decats fitted as the Mk2 stealth on my car, and the ones we have fitted, have not sounded at all raspy. If you take more silencing out of the system, ie. with a staright through decat, it can give you a rasp to the exhaust note.
The overall design between...
If it is a double barrelled cat it is the standard cat. We would b able to supply you a very good second hand one for £75+vat including delivery.
David.
Sorry, but our system does not sounds raspy. We could make it sound raspy be removing the centre silencer but tha is the main reason the silencer is there.
And just to throw a spanner in the works for those comparing our stealth to the GDI stealth, not all have been supplied by Piper ;)
David.
