2012 Season :race:
Well I thought i'd better bring this back upto date so here goes,
My overalls were the old Proban which is now not allowed so I bought a nice 3 layer FIA suit from playskool motorsport http://www.plays-kool.co.uk/acatalog/RaceLidz-Speed-3-Layer-FIA-Approved-Suit-282.html I...
Yes that's him just had a look at the results , he's also with another ex sprinter who is really quick it looks like the next step up for us but it's not cheap !
Hi mate
Where do you compete as some clubs allow 1A and 1B tyres ?
I have used T1R's which are ok in the wet when fully treaded or ok in the dry when buffed down to around 3mm.
I currently use AD08's on 15" wheels and these are are probably the best 1a tyres which give great wet weather grip...
I have a RMD wheel which I used for 18 months and has been fine, however I would say they are a bit flimsy but they are designed to fold in the event of a crash.
I no longer use it as I have a standard one on...

Yeah I agree they are a pain on the road, but its extra time in the car for me as using it a few times a year on track is to much cash tied up in it not to use it.

Hi James
I know its now officially a "race car" (well soon :rasp: ) but did you try REIS for insurance ? as I only pay £300 fully comp ,just a thought.
Have you decided on your race livery yet ?
Thanks , a few run them but are track cars and Fred seems to think they are not up to it on a road car, a proper alloy one would be ideal but big money !
Cheers
Thanks for the info guys I will look into them, I am running Leopard so I think it will run xp on boot camp.
I use avg on the kids pc so will try that or microsoft av only thing is I am going to use an old copy of xp and "spare" licence I have ;) so may stick with avg.
Cheers
Hi
I need a pc to run some windows based programs so I am going to use my Macbook , I think I need to use boot camp and a copy of XP.
Do I need to use windows antivirus as well ? or only if I go online with xp ?
Any other mac software you can recommend ?
Cheers
Cheers Jay,
I have been looking at the Dl1 and some data I have been running through the program , its quite straight forward to find where you are quicker or slower the hardest thing is transfering that back out on track as in hillclimbs we only get a handful of runs and it can ruin a run...
