I was thinking about putting 421 cams in my Clio 182 which is standard 130k mile engine, but with throttle bodies.
The results from a dyno earlier in the year were disappointing (186bhp at the flywheel) and it was recently suggested I perform a compression check on the engine:
I performed a...
They are very popular with the Caterham /Westfield fraternity so you could look at their sites ... but they tend to sell quickly and for good money ,but they hold their price.
I made the mistake of buying a BJT Minno trailer based on Clio stats i googled only to find my car was just a little too wide. Fortunately I sold it at a small profit and then bought another BJT that it would fit on. So my advice would be the measure your own car very carefully before diving...

Hi Chris,
Hope you are keeping well.
Unless the Lotus is a specific vehicle you have been offered (you don't say what type), then I would suggest you enjoy the Clio for 6 months or so (until the spring?) and then sell it and follow your dream and buy the Lotus.
After scratching that itch...
Unfortunately not as I had fitted them myself. However I do have a RR result from 2015 provided by the previous owner and performed by EFI. showing 185.2 bhp, on a standard engine apart from filter and Miltek exhaust but no cat so you can see i've spent circa £3k for less than 5 bhp which...
Earlier this year I fitted a KTEC Jenvey throttle body kit to my Clio 182 which has an otherwise standard engine (which has done 130K) other than a Miltek exhaust with a sports cat.
I had the car mapped by Dan at RS Tuning after reading reports that he is well respected in Renault circles and...
I cut all my airbag wires back to the dash and removed passenger airbag to tidy up the wiring ( as I had fitted bucket seats and car only used for hillclimbing though has to be road legal)and all still worked but the airbag light did come on, so as numbers_ just said worth checking fuses -...
You can buy cheap ex exhibition carpet tiles on Ebay, If they get dirty /damaged just replace, easy to take up as well which is one of your requirements.
I've been using Halfords spanners and sockets for so long so me of the posters on this thread were probably still in nappies!. I've subjected them to all sorts of abuse including the usual 'pipe' extension on a ratchet without failure.
I also have one of their cabinets which has proved...
Thanks for the quick response!!
The headlamp reflector mechanism is loose inside the casing. I thought about separating the casing but seems a lot of people have had problems.
My nearside xenon headlamp is broken so looking to replace but the cost of a xenon headlamp is high so thought about replacing both sides with normal headlamps and selling O/S xenon headlamp . The car is only used for hillclimbing, but has to be road legal. Is the wiring the same or am I...

Based upon the feedback ( thanks!) started systematically checking back cleaning up contacts checking fuses/relays and got to point where immobilizer light would now go out and car would just keep cranking, but not start. Had power...

Thanks for the responses I put a new lower gearbox mounting on and cleaned up the earth strap but I'll try the extra earth via jump leads. The black wire to the gearbox has been reconnected but I'll take it off and clean it up again.
I'll look at the white wire and others...
