    Fitting a SUBWOOFER

He means before you start wiring anything, disconnect the negative (black) terminal from the battery. Then disconnect the red one and connect your power lead to the assembly before reconnecting it. Only put the negative back once you've finished the rest of your wiring. Steve

    Fitting a SUBWOOFER

    1. You need to run a power cable from your battery to the boot. 2. You need to run a remote from the back or your head unit to the boot along with a set of rca leads. Probably best if you run them the opposite side of the car to the power but it hardly matters. 3. Fit amp to the back of the...

    Sportlines on a 172........

Christophe, you can't have it both ways. If you want it low then you will have to have it stiff. I'd suggest a compromise

Eagle F1's have been great for me.

    Sportlines on a 172........

Why not just get Apex springs? They lower the car a good 40mm apparently?

    Sportlines on a 172........

In my opinion coilovers will just ruin your car. No point in them really unless you are gonna use it on track a lot.

    weight of front seats?

I got some cobra misanos in mine. Thought the standard seats were heavy when getting them out, but putting the new ones in they felt just as heavy lol. I wasn't trying to save weight though, just trying to be comfortable!

    Subaru to a 182

Thats a generalisation if I ever saw one. Theres enough Imprezas out there, only a small percentage are owned by t***s. I went from a 280bhp WRX to my 172 and I much prefer the 172. Its so much cheaper to run and apart from straightline speed it performs really well. The scoob was fun, no...

    Sportlines on a 172........

Yes Eibach's are what we're talking about. There's no way I'm changing the shocks, just the springs. Steve

    Sportlines on a 172........

Tempting mate but I'm ill at the moment, and can't be bothered to go that far anyway. I'm gonna get them fitted so I reckon they'll want me to buy the springs off them too. Thanks though Steve

    Sportlines on a 172........

Hi guys. I know this has probably been done to death but I just want some reassurance before I buy. I want to lower the car slightly purely for looks. I do not want to ruin the ride quality or bodge the standard handling which I find is great. How much difference will I notice with sportlines? I...

    Tune Point help....please.......

Hi guys. Today I fit my tune point to my 2002 172. Done it in minutes. I just got an 80gb i-pod for xmas so connected it up and it sounds great. However its not working right. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what is wrong? 1. Pluging the i-pod in turns it on even though the...

    2002 172 - Trip clock keeps resetting

Hi guys. Any ideas why my trip clock keeps resetting every few days. Never does it while you are using the car, its like as if its forgot the data or something. Normal mileage is fine, just all the other displays on the computer reset to zero. Any ideas? Thanks Steve

    My first proper wash/clay/polish/protect

Ali, I agree. Have always modified my cars but the clio has gotta stay standard. I did get tempted and get side repeaters and silvervisions but they definitely make it look better. Only other mod is the seats but I had to do that! Steve

    My first proper wash/clay/polish/protect

Hi there, Well I'm absoutely knackered! Been cleaning the car all day! Perfect weather for it, lots of cloud cover, however that has made the pictures somewhat boring as my silver just looks grey and dull. Started by washing with Megs gold class and wash mitt, dried, then clayed with the megs...

My 182 has gone all torquey!

Yep, cold air burns better hence more power in the winter but less traction!
