Re: E36 v2
That's not bad then. They won't be fatigued or anything? I'm guessing you need all the same stuff from the same car too? I.e. starter/flywheel/release bearing from the same age car?
Re: E36 v2
That's the one thing that was putting me off as I don't know anywhere/anyone that could machine it for me. Plus it's already quite a bit lighter than a DMF so it'd make no odds IMO. Look forward to seeing progress on it!
Re: E36 v2
I thought the only option was to machine the m20 flywheel, didn't realise you could use a spacer. I think you've just saved me a fortune!
Where can you source the larger release bearing from? Any particular car or an aftermarket one?
Re: E36 v2
lol FAG :o
Jord, need your advice about a clutch. Mines just started slipping (FFS), so I'm trying to work out what's going to be worth changing whilst the gearbox is off. I.E. Single mass flywheel? Which clutch should I be buying? Is it worth upgrading massively? I want to start...
Is it f**k. It still keeps giving me 'check coolant' obc message and the coolant is fine every time. The steering wheel clock spring has knackered, so I've ordered a hub/boss for an aftermarket wheel that still hasn't turned up. Ball joint nut keeps coming loose, top mount nut keeps coming...
Nope, they went straight on. AFAIK they'll fit any E36 including the M3. Perhaps not the Evo, but I'm not sure on that. But yeah went on absolutely fine for me!
476 WTF! I'm getting 330 at the absolute most. Jealous of the ambers TBH.
Actually I got 365 miles once. Never been able to get anywhere near it since. Regularly 300ish. FML.
