Did an exhaust clip earlier tonight with my GoPro. Get the idea after around 40 seconds or so, but yeah pretty pleased with how it sounds!
Sounds okay from 1:15 - 2:00 too. It is an incredibly dull video though :o LOL
Nice, that's going to be considerably cheaper than I thought then! Was initially looking at £70/80 a tyre.
Super tight budget 328 is very slowly getting there!
Yeah, I can't really afford them TBH but thought they could be tricky to find again so just went for it. Plus I can sell the horrid M3 wheels and make it back + some. Are your running 205/50/16's like Whiteley?
Just won these on eBay:
E38 16x8 BBS's. Obvious choice, but they make sense.
TopGear Stockport next weekend for exhaust alignment, then it's time to save for a diff I think.
Awesome! Another decent E36 thread I'll be following closely to pinch ideas etc.
In regard to the 3.0 M3 diff, does the diff carrier/ subframe not need to be swapped like it does with the 3.2/Evo diff? That could be handy.
Yup. Going to spray the box with VHT black paint. It looks horrendous currently. Booked into topgear Stockport in a couple of weeks to have it straightened and mounted properly too. On the plus side it sounds great and is half the weight of the OEM exhaust.
As for the steering wheel, I'm still...
Opinions needed. Having the Recaro fitted means I'm uncomfortablely far from the steering wheel, and the slip ring is completely knackered, so I've decided to get a new, dished steering wheel. Narrowed it down to these two:
Momo 07 (a dished prototipo):
Or a Nardi:
I really like the Momo...
I find mine fine for road use, bit crashy but nothing like some of the budget coilovers I've used in the past. They're fine for the money you pay if you just want to go a bit lower. Will be upgrading to HSD's in the future, however.
