This, after a few trackdays you have a rough idea of what pressures to run (obviously depending on conditions) but my Cup goes out on between 22/23psi front/25/26psi rear on a warm trackday. I've never had problems with 'shredding' them because they were cold/underinflated like some people have...
Looking good! I quite like these, I wont lie I do have a little soft spot for them. The 1.8 16v is probably one of the best engines out of the range bar the C20 LET they put in these as well, my friends one interiorwise was rather nice also with half leather/alcantara seats.
Looking good fletch! Interior has changed a lot of the last month or so and has taken a big step in the right direction! Was thinking about coming to goodwood this weekend to see this and you guys but have already have plans for GTI springfest at santa pod! :(
Get tuition then, I was very on/off and being hot into corners when I started doing trackdays but with a few good bits of tuition and having had Tony Hunter at the last 3 trackdays have helped me no end! I now reckon I could lap quicker in standard car in comparison to what I was before being a...
Lol at cheap coilovers being the cause of spinning....
Its either damaged/broken suspension or just lack of talent(lifting off/braking too late/being ham fisted)...
Looks good chap, I wouldnt go for a Sabelt wheel personally. I'd get someone to retrofit a 197 wheel with the red stitching, will tie in with the car/brakes perfectly!
Yeah will be fine chap, all the pressure is going to be going to the bottom of the sidemount/on the base subframe. Had it like that on my Cup for ages now and trackdays included and nothings gone wrong (touch wood!).
Yeah just chuck it up a hole front and rear on the left hand side sidemount, will sort your porblems out! Thats how mine was at first, and btw, get rid of the washers on the subframe as thats something not even Failsport would do ;)
p.s. Enquire within should you want some more 'experienced'...
Making progress matey!
When you sya that the seat doesnt sit well, does it slant to the side? If so just get it straight using the holes on the sidemount chap, had to do the same with mine and i'm using Cobra subframes! There all pretty pants and you have to just keep on adjusting them until...
Ah yeah he did, for some reason thought I sold them to straght to you! lol Truely epic seats though, if I had a refined 1*2 that I didnt use on track i'd be getting another set as they look sexual and are comfy as feck!
A cage in that and some 4" harness' and that will look th dogs danglies!
Got my FK coilovers from Venom motorsport so i'd say give them a shout, mine got sent straight from Germany so chances are they dont hold anything like that in stock.
Hopefully it'll look alright, get it painted sooner rather than later though as primer and water/damp dont go well and will leave you with lovely ripples in the paint!
Fantastic looking car, BG looks far greater tha RB when clean so good choice in my opinion! Good future ideas also, some say there 'sheep' mods but if it looks awesome who cares!
Keep up the good work!
