Get the wheels powder coated Paint rear beam Thats the main bits done then. In time I’ll replace the lower arms, steering arms, track rod ends and probably all the cv boots, nothing wrong with them all just old.

Taxed the ph1 today, first proper outing since I got it last year. Cracking drive, engine is super strong throughout the Rev range, gearbox is perfect. Im sure the phase 1s were built better than the phase 2s, virtually no rattles etc. Really pleased with this little car :)

I picked up this off eBay as a spare for future, only £20 brand new and even has the dryer fitted as well.

Wish I never sold my 172 cup, one of my favourite cars. Paid £800 for it in 2015, spent £500 on it and many man hours. Sold it mid 2016 with 120k for nearly £2,500, was properly mint too.

There was some rust behind the door cards, nothing to extreme, pretty solid though, all been treated now, skirts have also been off etc.

Wheel arches liners off so everything can be properly cleaned, I won’t bore you with every wheel arch, here’s one of the rears.

Colour match on them wheels to the center caps 😂

lol I’m not really sure which bit you’re on about? Screen shot it but u can assure you all the nuts, bolts, caps etc are original. Hope and pray the nuts un do I suppose, I’ve been spraying mine down regularly in the hope they’ll come out.

They are OEM, wire wheeled them and then spayed them all black 👍 the heat shields clips are also original, cleaned them up, painted green from factory.

Lives in the garage anyhow, if it does go missing I know where to come knocking 😜

Heat shields etc back in, new cat to center box gasket, nuts and bolts ready to fit.

Yea used a DA for the auto glym, then went over it by hand afterward :)

Yeah I machined it’s with heavy cut as the paint was so dull and flat, I then went over it with auto glym super resin and collinte 476 wax to finish off. Yeah neighbours probably think I’m mental constantly working/cleaning an old Clio 🤣 some people walking past stop for a chat sometimes...

Put some wanted posts up on here (in the wanted section) also there’s plenty of Clio sport Facebook pages where people are breaking ph1s etc.

Yep, rear beam off next and scrub all the underside.
