thanks dude glad you like it!! i spent a lot of time and money doing so many terrible mods before i finally got it looking how i wanted it!! it went through stages of looking very chavy before i found this club and saw the light!!
i live in leigh, so not too far from yourself!
its each to their own. if someones willing to pay for it, its worth that money!!
id personally never pay 10k for a clio, but brand new 200s are being sold for well more than that!
its a stunning example and im sure theres a collector out there thats interested!
Update 06/07/2012
Well, the weekend that i had to keep rolling for has past and ive been busy!! ill let the photos do the talking for most of this and i did get slightly carried away with the snapping, so sorry about that!!
First job was to get the track off!!
last left the car like this...
i could go on for a while with the pics but ill leave it at that! this was my grande!!
try to keep a lot of things subtle and original (or stolen from higher spec clios)
sport interiors are a good start! great upgrade!! welcome to CS too where abouts in essex you from?
valvers dont have locator splines nor do williams! i didnt think any of the mk1 range did but seems otherwise!
mk2 ph1 and ph2 bosses will fit but youll probs loose the auto cancel on the indicators as its controlled by the squib on the mk2s!
Haha sorry dude!! update is a bit over due, but seeing as this thread isnt getting much love, i havnt felt under too much pressure!!
update 04/07/2012
So was still wafting for things to do to occupy the weekend. so i decieded to finish the rear end off once and for all!!
this involved fitting...
so you claimed off a third party....and your own insurance was voided??!
something really doesnt add up with this story tbh!!
my mate had a car with an undeclared engine change, exhaust, wheels, brakes, suspension etc
someone crashed into him and it was fine (not that im condoning these...
my mk1 did something very similar to this! idled around 2k,
turned out it had spat some of the inlet gasket off for some reason!
also might be worth checking the lambda if you have a spare one knocking around!
This is missing the ph1 exclusive!! not amused! lol
it will be possible to fit 10j wheels on with the correct offset. the problem you will have is getting all of the tyre under the arch! which is legal requirement.
it may be that the offset needed to clear the shocks/other parts, leaves too...
Im sure its been covered before, but i did a quick search and couldnt find anything on it!!
im upgrading my brakes to HC discs CL pads and braided lines. i obviously now will need to change my brake fluid. From searches i think im going to go for ATE superblue fluid, but my question is how much...
well theyre close enough so theyre going to stay like that! the passenger side adjuster is as low as itll go so unless i take the adjuster out, it wont get any lower! :(
i think im going to waste tomorrow trying to get the exhaust hanger off and maybe fitting the rear braided lines!
Re: The Confused Budget Track Clio! * Inc 197 Cup Cage Content*
in response to your text this morning mate, pictures of my centre exhaust mount,
sorry if theyre not all that good but i didnt get the jack or anything out today so had to kind of crawl under to take them!!
Tiny update because ive been lazy!
fitted my rear battery as its another small job to tick off my list before the weekend gets done, i fitted my rear battery and kill switch.
couldnt see the point of one of those fancy aluminium battery holders, i just used some punch strap and bolted it...
the difference in sizes will be under 1mm so i think its pretty much neglegable in this case!
there clearly seems to be some conflicting information on this! lol
the dephasor pully controls the VVT, will advance the cam timing on the inlet cam slightly at high revs to give valve overlap. which in turn increases power output.
