is it where it comes out of the final centre box?! thats where mine snapped off! get either a genuine centre section, pattern centre section or aftermarket exhaust. unlikely anywhere will be able to weld it up if its that corroded!

lol at "has anyone on here stripped their car" but yes, it makes a difference if you do it properly!! ie remove all the tar, sound proofing, seatbelts ive even gone as far to removing PAS and AC, and was sizing up ABS for removal! it all counts! speed is all down to BHP/ton ;)

both mine and my mates cars have the vibratechnics ones, i dont find them at all "too harsh for road" i spose its how comfortable you want your car to be! id personally go for the good ones if youre going to track your car 12 times a year, otherwise youll just put more stress on your gear...

is it coming from the gear selector mech?! if so then ive very very common! as above the way to fix it properly is take the box apart and replace the seals other option is to get some stuff i think from halfords for £10 that acts as a sealing additive

could be worth taking the clocks apart, taking the needle of and putting it at zero with a dab of glue, as someone else said, it could be that the needle isnt connectyed to the spindle properly and is just sitting where it falls!

i have a y-reg with a shift light! my mates old x-reg didnt! i dont think its reg specific, i think it was an addition extra when first ordered! im not sure what its part of, does your current clock actually have the light that just never illuminates?!

3 year gap you also only needed to insure something for a single year in the middle!! ie, no insurance for one year, insure something (anything) for a year, then no insurance for the next!! if you have a gf or someone you share a car with, just alternate who the main driver on the policy is...

because they do look so much better than the standard plate hanging over the front grill!! i had mine on for a year, never got pulled over for it, but did have it mentioned a few times. no fines. my mate got a fine for his plate thought

Im not sure if its the same on the ph2s, but on the ph1s the sensor is a small black box clipped to the divers side of the heater matrix, it has a 4 small wires going to it. might be worth trying a different one.

im pretty sure they all use a generic plug, and all use the same airbag ECU so i see no reason why it wouldnt! does the airbag youre currently using no fit the sport steering wheel?

the splines are the same, and so is the squib. it will fit but i do believe it fouls the plastics behind the wheel, you may have to cut some of it away!

someone was telling me just the other day that the water pumps rarely fail on these!! nothing overly hard about changing these, but the pump is slightly burried in the ancillaries, but for a specialist it shouldnt take too much time at all!

Ok so since getting my car it had the cam cover lug thats meant to bolt to the lower inlet mani snapped off!! stupidly i forgot this today and when i tried to tighen the braket that goes above it on.....BANG, the lug snapped off that too!! look see now there are still 2 of the large bolts...

could it have done a single revolution before putting the wheel back on?! that usually causes havok in the ECU, but usually trips the ABS
